Oh no - I think it will require a proper validation process, just as they are going through with all the other tests.

But if it does show promise - and if it does indeed solve quite a few of the problems which the other tests have - then it could be fast tracked.

But the government are committed to 100K tests per day by month end so will do nothing to imperil that target.

Optigene appears to supply the IP ie. they designed the test

PrimerDesign supplied the testing kits ie. the thing which actually made it work

That is how I read it.

Of course it would be (hopefully) up to PrimerDesign to actually scale it up and roll it out eventually with their new Big Pharma partners, after all the usual authorisations.

I don't think they'll throw the rule book out of the window, but there is enormous pressure here to get things done and fast.

The press release says "OptiGene’s LAMP COVID-19 test has now passed validation and is ready to be utilised"

To me that means it is validated - but whether that means independently validated or validated by PHE England or any other regulator, at this stage, is probably unlikely.

It appears that they may have something in which PrimerDesign is involved which deals with the deficiencies of the many other tests which are available - speed, through put, transport etc.

There appears to be no public validation data as yet, or not that is easily available.

I guess follow them on twitter for more updates.

They seem keen to get this off the ground and PrimerDesign are involved.

Optigene may have course made a break though.

But they will require major support from a much larger company to develop at scale.

PrimerDesign will be privy to all the relevant information as they have been involved in the testing.

If you read the article it is Primerdesign they are working with.

Key thing is that Big Pharma will now be forced to work with little pharma ie NCYT.

They can't negotiate onerous terms, procrastinate etc - this comes from the top and in a National Emergency they will do as they are told.

Big Pharma needs to keep the government on side in a long term relationship.

It will likely just be for the UK at first, but no reason it can't be a global roll out, probably to the advantage of both.

If Big Pharma decided not to cooperate then the government would start to turn the thumb screws - similar to the Banks and dividends - threats of BoE investigations there - and Premier League football clubs now being threatened with a wealth tax if they keep paying players salaries whilst furloughing workers.

Bit more research - Monchhichi PLC shareholders have already swapped their shares for shares in High Growth Capital which then became MESH Holdings.

So it looks like a tidying up exercise - but with AAA also getting active at the end of March we could be approaching the end game for AAA/ASLR/MESH/Sentiance.

Things appear to be moving along quite nicely.

Monchhichi Plc own all the shares in HGC 1. Monchhichi Plc was placed in liquidation on 20th November 2019, but is not insolvent and does have net cash.

Monchhichi Plc was suspended in 2017 at 39p, but shares have recently been issued and bought at 75p-80p.

Thing is in a BB post in november 2018 someone refers to Monchhichi Plc having a stake in Sentiance.

This activity together with all the goings on at AAA suggests matters are moving towards a conclusion and ducks are being placed in rows as regards Sentiance, and all the smaller shareholdings being collected together.

Not clear who the Monchhichi PLC shareholders are, presumably quite a few pi's in there.
