Good point on the depth. We will see lots of negative spin on it being too late to get the second drill going. It won't be.

TD RNS is tricky. If they have found helium in whatever quantity they could say so at the same time but it cannot be described as a discovery before independent lab work. So the language is immediately ambiguous.

They stated in an RNS that they will announce Target Depth.

They will announce TD. If they have evidence of helium they will say so (but they cannot announce any kind of discovery at this point).

If there is no sign of helium they will also say so. No point doing the full science bit if they have no helium.

If they just say they have reached TD, don't mention helium but say they are doing the science - well it means they have found helium and being very stubborn about telling us or the quality/availability is limited or uncertain.

Also. If it makes no sense to invest in drilling ahead of results then why is LegalWolf invested in WSBN ahead of drill results.

There is no reason to be pedantic. The 2 week plan can be impacted by a number of operational factors which result in 'the drill' to target depth taking longer.

Operational planning v operational reality. Very rarely do these 2 line up. It's hardly a surprise at this point.

Joe80. Been on a lot of rigs then? Fair enough. My observation is that they rarely go to plan and we should expect the unexpected. Even with the breakdown this one has gone very well so far. Approaching TD is a big deal.

When you consider the many risks involved in drilling 1000m+ into the ground it boggles the mind and make me feel a bit sick TBH :).

Imagine turning that much metal above the ground and the mechanical challenge that presents. Never mind in the ground. I couldn't even get my hammer drill through 6 inches of fence post this summer.
