You need to differentiate between leftwing propaganda and wishful thinking, and the reality on the ground. Russia and China have been kicked out of nearly every major country on Earth, from the Middle East to North Africa to South America. The rise of Russia and China as rising global powers has ground to an immediate stop. They are in reverse. The EU is cutting its Russian gas and Russian money. China's overtures to Denmark and Greenland have halted overnight. The rising powers have stopped rising. Thanks to Trump.

Looks like the bull run is over here. Expect this to drift back down into the 90s in the coming weeks.

Trump is actually doing a great job of (severely) diminishing Russian and China influence throughout the world. He's effectively kicked them both out from Venezuela, Panama, Cuba, Syria, Gaza, Lebanon, Qatar, Iran, Libya, Mali, Congo, the EU, Greenland and the Arctic. Most of the entire planet! China no longer controls the Panama Canal, the world's 2nd most important trade route. Russia is no longer a force in the Middle East or North Africa. Trump has humiliated and castrated Russia and China on the global stage. He has done it with very little bloodshed. And he's done it at lightning speed in 12 months. A quite staggering achievement.

Great to see more AIM companies now starting to copy the American trend of a "place up" rather than a "place down". DSG wat 8p, have now re-funded with a placing at 10p in the near-term, and 16p in the longer-term. Working with (not against) existing shareholders. Pushing UK share prices up, not down. Good news for DSG. Let's hope this is the start of an overall culture change in UK shares. Place up, not down 👍

Alphabet ended down-1%, despite strong headline revenue numbers. Qualcomm plunged -10%, a tech bellwether. Shell missed consensus and is down -2%. Vodafone has plunged -5% this morning, after EBITDA fell sharply. It's a sea of red out there 📉

Alphabet is whipsawing around. Fell -8% to $310, then ricocheted +13% to $350, now falling back to $339, as of a second ago. Let's see if the "rally" lasts.

Alphabet beat its revenue forecasts, but missed its Capex forecast (by a huge 50%). Shares tanked -8% in seconds, despite the good revenue numbers. AMD collapsed -17% on soft results guidance. It looks like we are at or near "peak AI".

There's nothing "desperate" about the far-left campaign of disinformation and smears against Reform. It's deliberate and calculated bullying. Dodgy video last week, dodgy photo this week, there's a clear pattern of mendacious propaganda. Straight from the USSR playbook. And it's working. The ultra-left "Greens" are now on track to win the Gorton by-election at the end of the month. They are 4/5 favourites at the bookies. God help us all.

If the UK were to become the 51st state and join the US, the UK would be the poorest state in the Union. US GDP per head is approaching $100k, UK is barely $60k. US disposable income per-head is well above $60k, UK well below $40k. US average wealth per head is well over $600k, US is barely $300k. Average wage for the poorest 10% of workers in US is $32k, UK is $30k. On pretty much every major economic stat, UK is significantly poorer than US 👍

Err, Musk bought X for $44b in Oct 2022, and it's just been refinanced in Feb 2026 at a whopping $125-250b, a 3-6 times increase in less than 4 years. It would take the average UK worker around 5 million years to earn that same kind of money 👍

Agree, the US has the world's best culture for entrepreneurs and scale-ups. Low tax, high finance, high speed, high enthusiasm, always nimble. They are the polar opposite of arthritic UK and EU.

Agree, Alphabet results this evening will be a pointer for direction. A test for the stockmarket rally.

Uber stock is tanking -5% today, even after it said AVs will be a "multitrillion-dollar opportunity" for them. A few weeks ago, that would've been enough to see their shares pop 10-20% in a session.

Not to mention, the RBA (Australia), who have started re-raising interest rates, not cutting. If global inflation re-appears, and US rate cuts go into reverse, the Dow will sink like a stone.

Posted last week -- Bitcoin crashed in Q4 2025. Metals crashed in Jan 2026. Keep an eye on US stocks in Feb 2026. Trouble comes in threes. Fear breeds fear. AI and AI-adjacent stocks, like SanDisk, are tanking today.
