Basu does tend to come across well, but then the financials don't really follow as he just doesn't understand the levers within his financial business model.
CFO didnt come across well. Explanations about bad debt didnt make any sense - when you consider probably 80% + of revenue is from Siemens or from AAA government departments then a substantial proportion of what is left is then subject to bad debt provisions - I think some clear issues on Kromek performing against contracts not geo political issues? You also cannot say, as a CFO, "that was before my time" when what is before your time is in the balance sheet in provisions etc - any CFO coming in would want chapter and verse / contracts etc to establish the risk / opportunity in the balance sheet as a very standard baseline.
Still worry they see the one off Siemens deal as a vindication that they have done a fantastic job in the last five years - hence the bonuses outside renumeration committee guidelines, and dont take this opportunity which has completely cleaned the balance sheet reset operational management / strategic decision making.
Hope this is not the case and there is much further upside - as the market is still assuming KMK will F Up in the current share price.
