One of the good factors here is the base of what should be getting on for 20-25 key private shareholders here who are not phased by the shorter term up and downs on the market.
Compared to a lot of other stocks / boards we seem to have attracted shareholders with distinct attributes, no stupid panic buying / selling / ramping just a focus on understanding (or trying to understand!) the company / management, market, technology, commercials and potential range of risk and reward impact on financials.
Now I think all of those PIs are at a decent level of profit we can sit back, relax and enjoy the next quarters / years with a great deal of confidence with zero need to sell.
I don't like giving short term price forecasts, but a DU rns, uep20 rns, tarana upgrades plus 2/3 more breakthrough orders should have this North of £1.
If we get a single write up this will go up 20% in a day, you just need to look at LST yesterday after a write up in the daily mail (which, by the way as usual for this paper was a bland, vacuous write up with zero insight and detail).

Looking to make a small investment here.
At the current share price lst is over the 15% threshold in their investment guidelines and needs to be sold down to c £1m ?

Bit of a yawn really.
The use of ebitda as a key measure is pretty meaningless when you have such a large fixed asset base and 2.4m in depreciation.

Apart from OPTI I have a very stupidly large position in ENET, not everyone's cup of tea but an interesting opportunity so dyor.

Yes news flow and an investor meet in Jan 22 after the 21 update. Not necessarily to boost the share price, more providing further understanding, reassurance and transparency (on top of contracts) that we are holding the stock we all have been thinking it is for X years, rather than as you say still wondering a slight bit.

I have change my view slightly and giving the BOD the benefit of the doubt, time will tell.
Having worked ten years for one of the companies talked about in relation to the server DU I can assure you that, even with tight escrow etc, ENET wouldn't have passed initial screening. It may not be necessarily that they "need" the money, it's to show they "have" the money.

I've been a similar time to you, this is through the Times where I still saw the company as highly, highly speculative and deeply risky.
From a month ago we have a similar market cap with a tonne more cash and two deals which confirm the tech leadership in a global market across multiple products lines. The market cap is smaller than a lot of sh#### little AIM tech stocks who have little IP differentiation and a UK market of a few million quid. If this was a nasdaq stock it would be 5x where it is.
I have kept on adding (including 20%+ of the broker allocation) to now over 1% and I am happy to hold, for at least a further three years so a six year investment cycle to see this play out.
One day (I believe an RNS late next year which blows their revenue, margin and cash forecast for 22 and more importantly shows the market a glimpse of where 23 will be) the share price will just rocket, with smart ar### from IC and the like piling in.
I think this might be the time Dallo exchanges his euros and buys us all a Guinness or two !
As with all us long timers, I believe patience will be rewarded. As usual all my opinion, for what it's worth.

Older, I did post of the 10th on Calnex as a good "marker" in the sand for ENET with revenues of £18m and market cap c £100m - so possibly where we can get visibility for ENET mid way through next year with a following wind with an RNS confirming some sort of guidance for the year.
Difference is as TL says is on forward growth and earnings (as well as margins / business mix and recurring revenues), and therefore using a different PE ratio on which to base market cap.
Now very, very relaxed holding so much in ENET. Must be so satisfying for the ENET team seeing everything come together with a confirmation of their vision.

This depends on the way systems are set up around statutory entities and whether they outsource delivery / billing operations, but I would expect what elrico says to be be correct.

Dallo, I think you can add the 10-15 longer term holders with c 10% to your holding that it's not going anywhere, we have been through thick and thin and a quick buck isn't what we have been here for - as you say time for this to play out.
If / when it is taken over it will be by a US giant, compared to these Spirent is still a minnow.

Thought David would make a good poker player but not after this interview even though he still keeps his cards close to his chest - a clear sense of confidence in his body language and a wry grin towards the end from someone who has seemed naturally introvert.
It looks like he knows the value inherent in the company even if the market hasn't caught on, I think he is really looking forward to, and will enjoy, the next 3-6 months.
Wish I had some spare cash but have sold all my other single company holdings keeping all my investment trusts to be headlong in ENET, but even the ITs are not immune if the price stays around 40p.

Disagree with your general premise on buy backs, can be good or bad depending on the company and management.
I think you really have to put the buy back into context for ARIX.
- they had an absolute tonne of cash from if I remember VeloBio which represented a significant % of market cap. May be hard to deploy such a large amount in the short - medium term.
- they are on a the most stupid discount to nav, and even more stupid if you take cash out. Buying in the market should uplift the share price, but hasnt done so here yet.

The interesting element is the shear geographic, product and use case breadth of ENETs offering. For a company with a £20m cap this is bonkers, it is bonkers just on tarana.

I think you are a little confused here - by earnings do you mean revenue or profit ?
Stbx, or frankly any company in the market, would never be on 5x earnings valuation.
I think a 30-50 pe on forward earnings is more inn the ballpark for company with the revenue growth potential of sbtx, and more importantly how much of the revenue flows to the bottom line.

I have quite a large holding in OPTI and, with their exposure to SBTX, I haven't taken any shares directly.
I am now at the stage where I will now do so. The scalability of the business, margin, bottom line and cash potential seem too good at the current share price - happy the BOD seem to be taking things a little slow on the launch to ensure customer service is first class, nothing worse than back office / operational issues which soon get around on social media / trustpilot / various boards.

Tracy, totally agree, a lot of variation from both binary deals and then how they ramp - and as you say much outside their direct control.
Happy with a conservative view and upgrades through the year as deals develop - a bit like the way Sergi does it !
Talking more about a more holistic view - how David sees the market developing and ENETs strategy to optimise the opportunity across the product / service range, and then Mark on the financial / commercial impact of this.

With the very wide differences in revenues expectations it really does show the need for a investor meet type call for PIs on release of the 2021 trading update early 22, similar to the one they probably gave to Miton.
I really couldn't give a toss if David is not a great communicator as we can all see through a flash harry AIM CEO types.

Just looking at the myriad of bankers, advisors, accountants and management of THG who have taken everyone for a complete ride, including many in your and my "profession" who we know will face zero consequences.
Although, like yourself heavily invested in ENET, it is important to keep questioning, as an example we still have no clue who 5G are.
Virtually every AIM company I hold has had an investor meet recently which have proved invaluable in terms of seeing the whites of their eyes and body language. All investors should start writing to the ceo, cfo and chair asking for one with the 2021 results.

Debtholders are stakeholders with legal rights, they are not part owners of the business.

Dan, if you don't understand fcf, ebitda etc you really shouldn't be investing. They do have limitations (Buffet doesn't look at ebitda), but all add up to an overall understanding of a company.
