Of course exploiting your own coal when you have several coal fired power stations and currently import the coal makes total sense for cost and environmental reasons... But kickbacks to corrupt politicians make it a very complicated proposition.

I think SOS consumers are generally better off so sales should be stable. I walked past the Chelmsford store on a Sunday in December and it was very quiet compared to the other stores in the area each time and there was a lot of animal print on display… seemed a bit Bet Lynch to me, not that I know anything about ladies fashion 🤓

I think this is a good solid business and with next and m&s selling its product and increasing brand awareness a takeover at some point is a possibility. Schroeder’s are not daft and they have built a sizeable stake.

I do admire the people who are happily topping up. It's painful for me just to hold watching this downwards slide.... but I'm still hanging in because apart from a bit of rioting nothing really changed, Phulbari coal mine makes sense, however in my opinion a takeover / sale of the licence is the likeliest result (at significant multiples of the current SP)

There are currently no open short positions in GCM Resources.

Be interesting to know where the 61,072,270 subscription shares issued this year went. They equate to 22% of the company. Presumably an existing large shareholder would have to notify if they had increased their holding.

500000 shares on IG currently quoted at 6.29

With the GL it's worth considerably more than £1 a share

Without the GL considerably less than £1 a share, but much more than the current SP

My opinion only. I'm trying to be pragmatic

I think if we don't get news this week or even if there is negative news sooner or later an offer will be made for GCM and it's assets and the project (which makes total sense for Bangladesh) will go forward under a stewardship more acceptable to the GoB

I'm holding out for more than 6p 😁
