I was one of the people who first bought in around that £13 low time. I certainly can see why it hasn't gone that low again - that was a silly dip, and plenty of people were saying at the time that it would be permanent, that oil was 'over' and sell sell sell. Obviously I made a fantastic profit off of their doom mongering, alongside the dividends. I think the sensationalism about cheap oil, shale and EVs damaging big oil has become less convincing to the market, people are less willing to jump ship. I see no reason why this shouldn't return to £23-4 in short order, as the fruits of the restructure/asset sales start to show, and the oil price rises. I top-sliced at that high point last time, so re-bought the same amount today. 'Never sell Shell' is sort of true, but it's also very tradeable. Perhaps should have waited for the ex-div dip, but obviously would have missed the dividend, and don't see this price staying at this level too long.

And of course, unlike businesses merely announcing sales, these are contracts with ongoing cash revenue and extremely low overhead. Such a solid business here.

Which brokerage are you lot using? Mine, BestInvest, aren't offering this share as I believe they have a min MCap threshold that this share doesn't meet. This happened to me with Kodal minerals too. Very frustrating, but only £7.50 a trade stops me leaving. Maybe not much longer.

I just went to top up, but​ with a spread this wide there's no point! I bought my Shell shares ages ago, is this 13% spread normal?!

A poster on ADVFN (Lentjes, one of the few genuine posters there for this share) noticed Telus Canada newly listed on Microsoft's carrier billing page, and since Bango and Telus go back a long way we thought it might be a new Bango route activation. I emailed them to ask, and received the following reply: 'Dear Simon Thank you for your recent request to the Bango Investor. As we have previously stated, we won’t be releasing announcements on individual activations any more, but we will from time to time release joint announcements with our partners, when key milestones are reached. Optimistically, if this wasn't a Bango activation, she could have simply said it, so this may be a more instructive answer than it appears.

Sorry Slow that didn't answer your question at all, I just rambled. Because I have no idea what the answer is, or if there really needs to be one. But a big buyout at a significant multiple of today's price would be a most welcome end if need be. Or huge SP appreciation and eventual divis.

Volatility is a short term irritation and will put off some Investors, but in the long term, one way or the other the intrinsic value of the core concepts​ and business of Bango will show through and drive the share price. Dilution by new issuance is a risk, but unlikely at significant scale as it would be counter productive. I think of this share as a very rocky path up a very tall mountain. Don't mistake a pothole or ditch for a change in the slope.

Yes agreed, perhaps the next deal to sign would be a good excuse for an RNS. I don't make too much of the current volatility though - the small float we already know exaggerates the swings, but also it seems from ADVFN that a load of chartists/Technical Analysis freaks have spotted BGO and think they can make money on it. They're all making doomy predictions without any actual comment or analysis of the company itself. Sadly some PI's will see this rubbish and mistake it for genuine insight. Cannot explain just how much I loathe TI.

Had to abandon the thread as it's being taken over by shorters and trolls. ADVFN is rapidly becoming totally unusable, it's so openly abused.

It's not shorting in itself that riles people up - it's when people with shorts try to cast FUD to tip the price in the direction they want. It's shady. Fair cop to you, it makes sense to run shorts when there's a repeated pattern of growth followed by profit taking, I'm learning about shorts and spread betting etc at the moment and I see the logic in riding these peaks. Combined with a long constant holding, could be a very profitable strategy. I just find the use of message boards to tip the table loathsome.

As has been discussed on this board before, very few shares in Bango are publicly available. This means any trading activity causes significant swings in percentage terms. Now, consider that this share has risen dramatically so far this year, around 135% from the start of the year to its peak, and still 91% above even now! You can see why some investors have been taking profits by selling some or all of their shares. I bought mine cheaply but will not be selling on yet, as this share is still tipped to grow to around £2, which is nearly 53% above today's closing price. The company is in fantastic health, new contracts are being announced all the time, and the product is fundamentally future proof and needed. I topped up again last week and will continue to add on the dips.

Ha - there's a shorter on here, and a chartist on ADVFN. My two most loathed types of investor in the AIM sphere. And both saying things with absolutely no knowledge of the company. Is doing proper fundamental analysis and research considered 'old fashioned' now?

Having looked at that poster's history, he looks like a serial shorter/leveraged betting gambler. He posts dramatic sounding messages to the positive or negative in whatever he's trying to manipulate, then moves on. No consistent history in specific stocks. Scummy behaviour if I'm right. Win at investing my using your wits and research, not by lying on messageboards.

Just tipped in ST's column in Investor's Chronicle, with 150p target price. Just as I was about to buy in. Bugger.

Just tipped as Strong Buy by Investor's Chronicle's AIM guru Simon Thompson. He has a 20p target price on this share, and is very impressed with the update.

Well at least he admitted he's shorting the share, so his strange doom predictions can be seen in their proper context. The company is very lean and geared toward ongoing ops and expansion. Simon Thompson tips it for £2, and every article that pops up elsewhere notes the excellent progress and potential of this nicely run, well-designed business. It's a very odd target for shorting - I hope you haven't put too many £'s per point on this one qwerty122. Friendly advice (honestly, not being sarcastic here) - try to short companies where there's a genuine debate among shareholders and some kind of significant downside risk that may affect sentiment. It's not a great idea to short shares in profitable companies with happy shareholders, unless you enjoy helping to bolster returns for IG/City Index et al. You're unlikely to win, and even if you do, you'll have been waiting for so long that your position will have attracted significant finance costs. I'd be suspicious of whomever tipped you to short a healthy share like BGO when there are so many excellent targets for shorts across AIM.

Glad I bought, strength returning again. The small float of shares is proving a real asset here - every time we re-rate up there is some profit taking, creating a nice dip (due to small float) where we can top up our shares again, and soon enough things carry on up. Sweet.

As usual I agree Slow, and I bought even more BGO shares today. Building a really nice chunky holding with low average, very happy.
