directors paid several times the current sp a few months ago why aren't they filling their boots now? Cash can disappear in fees and huge (mooted) assets become giant liabilities. I might be wrong but this one doesn't feel right.

You better hope the price of gold doesn't tank then. Don't think it will as it's the only global currency that can't be debased. SHG s a solid hold at this level given the prospects well laid out by CD. Have a look at PALM which has massive potential but as yet relatively undiscovered.

The actual spread is less than that if you check last buy and sell difference and this is a microcap after all. It's certainly an interesting company but difficult to see where benefits to small shareholders will come from. Cash will be used primarily for directors fees (you wont get a divi) and the substantial assets are unlikely to be easily realised . Otherwise the company would have attracted a bid. It might get chased up by short term speculators though.

of only £3mll makes this a rare opportunity. The potential is huge and they're looking in exactly the right areas.

Company has been a joke for 10 years when it was trading at 70p. Same promises and potential. Look at the sp now. At least it can't fall much further. Strictly gamblers only.

in perspective. Directors buys don't add up to much in hard cash, especially in relation to their fees. I'm not dismissing this company but it will be interesting to see how the sp sits in 6 months.

more interesting than the numerous deadbeat energy/mining microcaps on AIM. I tend to be a bit sceptical about these cash and asset rich companies. Ultimately investors only gain from dividends or capital appreciation . There's no sign of cash (future directors fees) being returned to shareholders and sp performance is abysmal. If it's such a bargain why hasn't it attracted a bid. ? Having said that it s tempting to buy a few because this is the sort of share to be periodically pushed up by speculative interest. As bunsen says patience is required (lots of it)

given this a quick once-over. A nice cash cow for the directors pulling in nearly half a million in fees. They should use the cash to buy back shares at this knock down price so all existing shareholders benefit equally. Doesn't happen which is why it's stuck in the basement.

Bulk of the cash is USD in Mauritius . It would make no sense to repatriate it to make purchases in Zim. The country's an economic basket case. McDonalds is part of Radar where CMB hold just under 10% but the complex holding structure makes it very difficult to build a controlling stake(the ultimate aim I imagine). The main attraction is the property assets. I think that hand sanitiser has become a temporary(?) product for Millchem . This is doing well and more so if they can export it. Short term speculators periodically move the price up (like a few weeks ago) then back it comes and you can smell the burnt fingers.

I bought in on the Australian potential principally. They seem to be looking in a rich area. As the m/c is only £3mill this could really take off on positive news. One to tuck away.

I like NDreams as a lead investment in a diversified portfolio. Merc appears to be trading at c30% discount to NAV which seems unwarranted. Results should be due next month.

The interim accounts refer to direct shareholding of 37% by Mercia in NDreams. If this is not the case then the accounts are misleading. You seem to have a persistently negative view of this company.

Feels like we're on a knife edge. My average is 14p and it could go 20+ or back to 3p. Next few weeks could provide the answers.

but when they talk about delivering for all shareholders this can only be done in two ways. Have we seen an increase in the sp over the last 12months? No. Have we had a dividend over the last 12 months? No. This is a great company but its shareholders deserve better.

You couldn't make it up! Elderly gentleman with butterfly mind flitting from one copper project to another issuing hundreds of millions of shares along the way. Ever decreasing prices. Long since ceased to be a serious investment. Now a micro gambling chip.
