this will remain below 30p but I'm happy to keep buying more on the dips. It's a good business model with geographical spread. I don't mind scrip divis. Great for income seekers.

to first dividend in April. Expect .5 to 1p. Only possible fly in the ointment is gold price. I'm happy if it stays in $1800-1900 range and anything above that is a bonus. We can't totally rely on that however. No mention of the growing VAT debt for a while. Imagine if a Tanzanian company in the UK was owed a legitimate VAT refund from the British government and they offered to offset it against tax in dribs and drabs. Holy moly.

Nav will rise close to 20p with results in a couple of weeks. MAFL gives a decent spread of mining interests with a tiny m/c. Also it doesn't issue huge numbers of dilutative shares. The spread does concertina and I add on days when it shrinks. I'm optimistic.

Hi Rich. Interesting to see that Eastmount Capital took a 3% stake on 26th Oct and last Thursday someone bought 5%+ of the company. Could an opportunistic bid (45-50p?) be on the way? I've topped up as it seems a decent each way bet.

Are you forgetting the final div in June (.75p this year) or assuming it wont be paid. I suspect it might be .55p again but that still doubles your stated yield.

NAV around 55p I believe but that might change when next months figures to end of Sept come out.

Looks like you have been in this one almost as long as me (I bought Ten Alps 11 years ago). You have a point but Zinc doesn't seem too keen on the dumbed down shows you mention. They are proud of the (mainly) quality content that can be sold internationally. We have quality management now, a strong balance sheet and I am fairly confident of prospects going forward

People are easily spooked in this market but the m/c is below cash again. The basics are sound but I would hope to pick up more stock in low 20s. Again we should ask- is the (reduced) divi safe going forward.?

I wonder how much covid is impacting their operations in the North east. It's a well run company so should get this but with more bumps on the road.

You're probably right but 2 or 3 years ago gold wasn't forecast to hit $2000 oz. I bought shanta at 3.3p so I'm not too anxious but markets climb a wall of fear. Some are selling today. All positive from the company though.

Next year assuming no unexpected events. I'm always wary of taking gold price sustainability for granted. I know that right now factors are working in its favour and Shanta has low AISC, but can anyone point to a time when the price rose substantially and held for a prolonged period? We would remain profitable at $1500 but if that happened it would severely damage sentiment. Let's hope it doesn't happen.

The price has to rise 20% just to cover the spread. Amazing that there are enough mugs willing to absorb all these new shares when the only real beneficiaries are the directors. People keep deluding themselves that there's a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow. 10 years ago Mankayan alone was supposed to be worth £70mill.

5billion ($?) worth of resources? How long have you been following this company? There is a huge amount of value in the leased areas (particularly Mankayan) but extracting the minerals will cost a small fortune. Even the mighty Goldfields SA walked away from it. CB has an inability to focus and would rather do deals issuing hundreds of millions of shares than concentrate on revenue and profit. This will leave a huge overhang of stock and hold the sp back. Why do you think it's flat on its back. Listen to sage- he's been here nearly as long as me.

what your time span is. 3 or 4 months? Time for Cerrado to float which might provide a kicker. All assuming the gold price holds to reasonable levels. I'm happy to hold and wait.
