We are now at levels below which we have only ever briefly been - for a few weeks at the start of Covid in march / April 2020, when the backside fell out of the entire market for a short time.
There has been no material adverse news, but we are 80% below the autumn 2020 peak.
It is worth remembering that this went from 20-odd pence to intra-day highs of 170p-plus in just six months.
It could happen again.
I am holding as I see absolutely no point in selling down here. There is surely vastly more potential upside than downside from here.
on fears over Russia / Ukraine. Every share I hold is down today - many by 10% or more. It is typical short-term market panic, which will pass, as it did in mid-December over Omicron.
I have added to my holding, which is now complete here.
I will now sit on my hands as I am delighted to have been able to increase my holding at a price I doubted we would see again.
I've done exactly the same on my two other biggest holdings.
at some of the posts on here today. The SP more than doubled in a couple of weeks. Some people will always sell/reduce their stake in such circumstances. Some people bought in for a quick gain and got it. That's all fine and normal. Equally, if even a small portion of this discovery is shown to be recoverable, the mcap is going to be much much higher than now. Some people are happy to wait for to that. They are buying and holding. I'm one of them as the potential upside from here is really massive imo.
imo. This sponsorship deal is great in itself, but more importantly it is indicative of much more to come. Given the IPO valuation and the strides made since then, it really would seem that the rise today is only the beginning of a much larger re-rate. Relief to LTH's and exciting for those who have just bought in.
The RNS specifically states that this contract alone will bring in a minimum of $720k over its first six months.
It also states that the income ac ross the board this month is more than $120k.
That means that MOS will bring in more than $120k this calendar month including whatever portion of the first month's revs under the new contract is received in January.
Equally, it means MOS will bring in $720k from the new contract alone over its first six months.
It's great news.
Missed the Boat have We?
Nae luck.
Fantastic news :0)
deramping posts. The SP is back where it was yesterday morning, based on release of unsurprising old news. Hardly a disaster!
crl123, I was one of the many sucked in by the hollow words of the slick CEO at BLOE. The trumpeted oil turned out to be mostly water. SP now sub 1p.
I am actually reassured these days when a CEO is not smooth on camera but rather looks like someone who has been getting on with a job.
that DP spoke today about the trial results that have been published (asthma/ IBS) and about a new scheduled trial (bladder cancer) but said very little about the ongoing trials on which data/updates is awaited. Presumably this is just because updates on these other matters will come by rns and he can't say anything to pre-empt that. All DDDD's rns's have stated that these trials continue. If that were not so, that would need to be rns'd. I think people are maybe reading too much into the fact he doesn't have Bob Monkhouse-esque delivery in front of a camera.
wants investors to watch a video. I would recommend that investors watch PH's video interviews from between April and July 2020 and compare his breathless comments with what the company has actually achieved in terms of oil production since then.
is that the directors who put in £1 million each of their own cash back in the Spring at £1.10 - and haven't sold - didn't do so to lose money. There has been no negative change in the fundamentals since then. This SP has moved in big swings over a long period now. With a lot of news anticipated in the near term, hopefully the next big swing will be upward. I have been holding since last year and was not tempted to sell today event at 90p plus. If £1.10 seemed a good enough buy in price for people who know much more about the company's prospects than I do, then that is good enough for me.
just fly to Morocco in two legs, via an intermediate country? The suspension is of direct flights, surely.
is now reacting the way I expected it to after Monday's RNS. I was a bit surprised it bounced back so strongly so quickly. It was hardly terrible news as it only marginally reduced this year's production figures, but it did disclose issues that are not entirely within TGA's control having the potential negatively to affect some of TGA's operations. After the SP quadrupling in no time, it's no surprise to see it down 10% or so on such news. I'd be surprised if it falls much further without settling however as the fundamentals are still very good, fuel is scarce and the northern hemisphere winter hasn't even started yet.
TGA's stated dividend policy is a divi of at least 30% of operating FCF.
Are any posters with a greater understanding than me able to make a guestimate of the possible range of dividend in pence per share if we were at the current SP at financial year end?
Have to disagree on AAA and BOOM being a great fit. BOOM is a rapidly growing, profitable business. AAA is an unlisted basket of assets of uncertain value, which would like to acquire BOOM at a fraction of its worth in order to justify listing at a value which might be way in excess of AAA's true worth. I do not see how AAA offers anything of value to BOOM. AAA's thankfully shelved interest in BOOM was a drag on BOOM's mcap. Offering to buy someone's Ferrari with some magic beans does not make the beans worth the equivalent of a Ferrrari imo.
is an exceptionally grubby way to make money. Acquiring something which does not belong to you, without the owner's knowledge, and using it against the owner's intetests to devalue their investment, while endangering businesses, jobs and livelihoods. I wish nothing but ill to all those amoral and empty enough to practise it. Should be illegal.
we've had "1,000 bbls" a day from a choked back 16aZ, then a bit of water considered to be mainly returned drilling fluid, then Brown in a Proactive interview mentioning a bit of production water, then disclosure that water was getting in due to a failure in drilling 16aZ, then swellable packers would be the answer, then 3D seismic would sort things for the next drill, then the next well was a complete dud, then dilution, etc. Now we have another well producing so little that no testing flow rates are publishes, but chemicals sourced from overseas are the solution. But the SP's decline is due to "bashers" apparently. Ok then.
