The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Well, you don't need to be a genius to know where mine came from: http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120901134027/carryon/images/a/a3/Sir_Sidney_and_Lady_Joan_at_the_polo_match.jpg So despite me spelling it wrong in haste I'm happy and it suits me as I'm rather new to all this trading lark. So, here's to anyone buying at the mo, I hope you can look forward to 50p plus next week or so.
I don't think I'd view the Comet point as pivotal to their future at all but it's all done to personal opinion of course. I think they as group are as aligned to the marketplace as they need to be and are being as proactive regarding change as you could want. They have, based on their performance to date, shown there is a way to compete with Amazon etc, where I think most people were convinced there wasn't. It's not in the bag, obviously, but I can think of several worse places to have some money.
Every drop of any significance we've seen over the last year has turned around in the space of a week or so. In some cases just a few days. No matter what I've bought in here,(and I've bought some far too high), I've never been down for long, so I'd be rather tempted to get a few more at this price. Yes it stagnates a little but, if you move a little bit of your holding on with every peak, and replace it on every drop, you'll be doing OK. Stick with it, that's my opinion.
Of all the share I've got that I just want to get money out of, DXNS certainly isn't one of them. Unless you really need the money I'd sit on these for a few months. That should be enough to get to mid 50's with a bit of luck.
Hope Chrimbo was good for everyone. I'm still in here after dropping a few above 50 and then grabbing them back about 48-49 as I mentioned a week or 2 ago. Got no concerns about the price myself, it's holding very well IMO and even if we see a 2-3p drop at any stage in the near future I'll grab some more as I'm pretty confident we'll get our dues very soon. I will say though, I'm constantly amazed at Amazon's prowess. I've bought and returned a few things recently and it's as close to a flawless service as I think exists, so I hope DXNS are paying close attention to that as something to aim for their online proposition. Hope it goes well for you all - Happy New Year.
laughing at us for even bothering to discuss this!
Why does anyone care someone else is entering the market? If anything, the fact that someone else sees potential to make profit underlines the fact that DXNS are in the right place. Regardless of the backing Coombes has, DXNS are up and running and perfectly placed to take advantage of the various opportunities that are currently presenting themselves - tablets, consoles, Christmas etc. Even if Lewinsons do amazingly well in their own right, does this prevent DXNS from doing the same? Have Macdonalds packed up shop because Burger King are here? This is nothing but good news as far as I'm concerned. I'd buy another 20k today if I had the money.
Well I've bought more at 49.8 to show my commitment. I think that was a reasonable opportunity.
It's not unusual for stocks to drop on good results in my experience. Often corrected v shortly after. If you're in, stay in, if you're not, get involved. That's what I'd say. Good luck whatever you choose.
Look people, nothing has changed since yesterday, or even this morning. We all have faith here and that's obviously well placed as this share has continued upward month after month. With results tomorrow is it not likely that everyone who was going to buy has done so and we're just sitting in a temporary limbo. Who knows what tomorrow brings, but I'd be ready to either sell a few if there's a just or buy a bunch if there's a drop. Aside from that, just congratulate yourselves on any profit you've made and have a jam sandwich.

I never thought I'd be tempted to buying the 50's but I am. I won't, but I'm definitely tempted. Orders in for mid and high 40's just in case we get a retrace. I want a lot more of these I can tell you.
Think we've played a blinder here. Everyone I speak to still cant grasp the potential here - glad for all who have and are continuing to stand firm.
Yes yes, I know. But come on, I've got that Friday feeling matey, come and join the party.
Oooo it's so exciting...
Good info - cheers for that.
Is it an indication of manufacturers falling over themselves, or DXNS trying to manage and develop their own supplies. Would Pioneer really have approached DXNS and said, oh yeah guys, you know what, we're desperate to build TV's again but we only want to sell them in your shop'? More likely that DXNS approached them and asked if they could use the name. Are they even going to be made by Pioneer? I'm as behind this stock as anyone, and all this news is good ultimately, but I'm not completely bought in on this subject yet.
What I'm not clear on here, is if Dixons are just using the name to launch a range of average TV's, that have more perceived cache than if they were branded Dixons or whatever other 'pretend' brand they could find. I guess as Pioneer are still alive and well they would be rather protective over the name and wouldn't allow that - which should bode well. Amongst the TV techno bunch, they're stuff was really well respected.
I reckon so..Onwards towards the price that shall not be named.
Alrighty... Fingers crossed for that next leg up eh? I reckon we've got money safe, even buying at these prices.
