probably frustration driving the deafening silence here. If I wasn't so committed elsewhere I'd get another bundle of these, having sold nearly half my holding over the last week or so. Seems like a good opportunity to take advantage of general sentiment across the board. I like days like this(as long as I have some cash spare).
Feels like this needs to stop for a tyre change at the moment - think we are still on slicks and the tracks drying out. I don't believe anything has changed re potential, but it wouldn't surprise me if we had a further retrace before going any further. I've kept the orders in place and will defo get some more if we reach 45 ish. Anything below that is a great opportunity IMO. Hope it's going well for you kids.
Sentiment on the day...
I don't think it's any more than sentiment on the day. Somehting like DXNS seems to be rather sensitive to such things and drops more than other FTSE stocks. If you're quick and not loaded up to the eyeballs already, it's not a bad opportunity to grab some more, but increasing one's average price isn't for everyone.
Incidentally, I wasn't suggesting you or anyone else does any of the things I mentioned either, was just clarifying my position.
I haven't had a chance to read the articles, but based but as many have stated recently, the current price seems fair for today, and although there is considerable scope for upside, it's not likely to happen overnight IMO. Pretty grim day on most stocks today, but DXNS holding strong. I like that behaviour and to my that represents a good platform for positive behaviour the next time we have a good 'general' day. I don't chart, I don't copy others stances or commentary, and I don't pretend to have any insider knowledge or super trading background. All I do, is buy and sell when it feels right. I sold a few when we hit the high a week or 2 ago and bought some more in the last week. It may not be the most exciting stock, but it's does seem solid and dependable so my thoughts are get involved, and stay involved, but keep some back for playing with more dynamic stocks to keep you from getting itchy fingers here. That's what I do at least.
You've put the kybosh on it! We'll have to wait till next week now. I'll remember this matey....
Let's push this bad boy over the hump....
Hello. Well let's hope it all works out. I don't really expect to get those filled, and don't mind either way, but I'm not missing out on any buying opps - that's for sure.
if anyone has taken any profits, you could do alot worse than chuck it in the Standard Life IMO. Holding up well after the div and I'm looking for 370 by Oct. Just sharing my thoughts while I'm waiting for my lunch.
But we all know that broker rec's aren't worth a bean. We can't laugh at them when we're going the opposite(good) way and then moan when we're going the opposite(bad) way. I've never once used them as any guide and only know what they are because they are quoted on here. We all believe in the cause, but nothing ever goes straight up, no matter how much sense there is behind the maths. I'd love this to hit 50+ by the end of the month and we may, but I'm happy if it sits around here tbh. And if we drop back, I've got orders at 45, 43 and 41 jsut waiting to be filled.
We're in the 47's. Whatever we could, should be in your minds by now, this is a hell of a rise from even just a few months ago. It's holding well after the latest rise, which is pretty much what happened last lime when we broke 40 so just enjoy what you've made so far and wait for the next leg up - it's bound to be on it's way.
Every few weeks an old Trivial Pursuit injury starts playing up and use that to time my top ups. It flared up yesterday and despite being higher than I'd have wanted to buy any I went with the feeling. There was a 2%+ spike early doors today, and a few secs where it was all over the place. It feels to me like an agreeable close today. All just thoughts on my part - I have no sound knowledge to quote I'm afraid.
Today, may well be a pleasant day.
I reckon it's because we are a nation of queuers. So, much like waiting for a bus and secretly enjoying whinging about it being late, we love to sit and discuss an underperforming share for as long as we can. You see it all day long on those other stocks. 'If x happens, then it should result in y, and then with the moon in Scorpio and a the birth of a baby panda we should see this push through to the high 100's....'etc. Once somethings doing well, no-one needs to search for answers so they stop posting. Shame as we've all put alot of time in here and it's a good bunch to chat with.
Ditto, although slightly higher price for me. I've got a mid 300's average too so looking for the turnaround, which I think is just about here.
I'm with you - defo a purchasing day for this. I'm down from a handful bought in the mid 100's, but it seems entirely possible to keep topping up around 100 and realise some gains in a short space of time.
Ha - the times I've looked back and said that... Here, Mulberry, AIG, all over the place. It's great fun* looking back at what you could've made had you done x or y... * read, bloody irritating
Rather irritating as I bought a few more at 8.5p a few days ago. I'll pick some up for sure, but not as many as I would have.
But I thought the whole point of the UK factory was to start bringing the production back to the UK. I'm saying that 100%, I just thought that was the case. I haven't looked at the bag prices too closely so can't dispute what you say, but I bought the other half a very decent continental purse for £250 ish on their website. I thought that was perfectly good given the quality of it. In fact, I'd almost call it value for money it's such a well thought out design. Where it was made doesn't bother me too much if I'm really honest, as long as the quality is there.
