Imho, the current CEO has performed very well since I invested and as he was a key reason for me taking the plunge, I would be selling all my shares if he were removed.

Martinu, trouble is there are worse Nomads than Cavendish out there and switching to a dog would be worse than doing nothing. Winnifrith's opinion is at least well informed and well intentioned (he is a SBTX shareholder) but if you, or anyone, knows of better choices than Numis or Peel Hunt, add them to the list.

If SA needs a steer on which adviser to switch to, Tom Winnifrith, who knows them all and thinks almost all of them are useless, describes both Numis and Peel Hunt as "proper" nomads/brokers/MMs.

Dearmal, I wouldn't subscribe to that view. I would be almost certain that belgrano is correct on this and that SOH initiated the sale because he needs the cash (desperately imho).

Dearmal, I can't see that being SOH's motive since Opti benefits when the SBTX SP rises. Doubtless he would also claim that he didn't know the shares would be dumped. But I no longer believe a word that man says – and that distrust extends to his RNS's…so if others feel the same way, he is in danger of making Opti uninvestable.

To be precise, it requires 5% of the voting rights to table a resolution for the next AGM but 10% to call a GM.

Hopefully, SA will see the light without the need for shareholder activism.

Just to be clear, the resolution would have to be signed by the owners of 12m shares (could include one or more major shareholders or several minority shareholders). SBTX would then have to circulate it to all shareholders via RNS together with an accompanying statement by the petitioners explaining why the resolution was necessary. It would then need >50% of all votes cast in order for it to be adopted.

It is obviously unacceptable that Cavendish has been acting against the interest of SBTX shareholders in this way so SA should be given an ultimatum: either he changes Nomad immediately or shareholders will requisition a GM to table a resolution requiring an immediate change of Nomad to a reputable adviser.

Toyin, if his comms were properly handled, SA would be able to devote much less time to answering emails so I don't believe that proper comms would take up more of his time than he currently spends on it.

If Elrico and his evangelists agreed that all PIs were entitled not to pay him, why do so many of you accuse the great unwashed of being ungrateful? Every time I see that word, I post. While many non-subscribers will obviously welcome any free, if delayed, titbits which he posts here, I suspect that the main motive for posting those titbits is not altruistic.

PGlancy, please get your facts right. I clearly opined that neither Elrico nor TW deserved any blame for peddling a commercial service: the blame for poor communications is all at SA's door and he should fix it pronto imho.

Your post contains far too many wild/inaccurate assumptions which you present as facts. I hope that isn't the standard adopted by anyone who demands coin for their insights.

You also use a suspiciously high number of pejorative adjectives which are not warranted ("lame", "silly", "ungrateful", etc, etc) – tactics which are often used by purveyors of snake oil and fake news in my experience.

I think your credibility would rise if you a) distinguished between fact, assumption and fiction; and b) conversed in a mature way instead of the gratuitously offensive/patronising/demeaning style you have adopted, none of which is needed to make a valid point.

Tbf, you could pull any number you like out of the air since there is no proof. I have noted the number of comments/upvotes on Elrico's SBTX pieces, some of which get zero of either.

Toyin, I can ask questions of my very busy local council leader on Facebook and he always replies. He also responds to pushbacks. Doesn't seem like rocket science.

I can't agree that all PIs should expect to fork out a monthly sub in order to get answers which SA should be providing in the first place as part of the job he is highly paid to do.

But to be fair to SA, he usually manages to cover more questions in the IMC presentations so why not add an extra IMC event once a month which is exclusive a Q&A session? SA wouldn't even need to prepare any slides.

And again, whenever I have asked him a question via email he has given me an answer (occasionally a brilliant answer) but email doesn't work when 50 people all want to ask the same question.

PGlancy, there is no doubt that Elrico and Winnifrith have provided their subscribers with some much needed clarification but the other 99% of PIs shouldn't have to pony up to hear what SA should have told them publicly in the first place. No blame attaches to Elrico or TW for taking the coin but SA needs to find a better way to communicate openly and concurrently with all shareholders, eg via X or even by attaching an interactive forum to the SBTX website.

some clarification on royalties is obviously needed. i never assumed that sbtx would receive anything from the cosmetics manufacturer. i thought we would be paid a 'commodity' rate by croda for the lysate and would then receive a further 'double figure' royalty on whatever price croda managed to sell zenakine for to the cosmetics houses (presumably multiples of the 'commodity' price). the number and price of other ingredients which croda might include in any ****tail would not be relevant to us.

if zenakine enables the cosmetics manufacturers to charge a premium for their products then logically that would be factored into the price croda asks for zenakine.

It only takes 25% of the votes to block a takeover bid and PIs therefore hold the key to the door. Of 233m shares in issue, only 80m are in the hands of major shareholders so even if all of them agreed to support a takeover bid (unlikely), the rest of us could stop it with a coordinated action.

I agree with you Cliostock. I replied to SA suggesting that he prune out the silly or unanswerable questions and respond to the rest ASAP. And because he doesn't see it as productive use of his time, I added:

"I do think that dealing with shareholder questions is one of the most important parts of your job so I hope you will get around to completing the task…perhaps uploading them periodically in blocks of ten, as audio files if that’s easier?"

PGlancy, not sure I understand your question but the better way would be for all shareholders to have equal and concurrent access to the answers surely?
