Prospector99, I don't think the Horlicks effect was discovered by SBTX. It must be one of the extra benefits of the lysate that Croda discovered in their testing. And maybe they chose to lead on that because they didn't have a sleep-enhancing ingredient whereas they have a number of anti-wrinkle products which they still need to sell.

The nub of the matter will be what Croda's customers found in their own testing, and how they then market it. If they can still sell their existing anti-wrinkle products before they have to be phased out then they might follow Croda's lead, for the time being at least; but there may be others who are ready to phase out the old anti-wrinkle stuff now so they may market their Zenakine end product primarily as anti-ageing with the added bonus of Horlicks.

Bazzaman, not sure why you were expecting some financials on the Croda deal. SA told us some time ago that we would have to wait until the financial statements for any insight. That doesn't please any of us but whining about it won't change anything.

I think we need L'Oreal or another big player to launch a major new product using Zenakine. It looks like Croda leave the hype to their customers.

Maybe Croda haven't yet unleashed the hype machine for Zenakine (or whatever else they might be using our lysate in) but I'm a bit underwhelmed by the verbiage around it on the Croda Beauty website. They do call it "cutting edge" but I don't think they even refer to it as "new" and they don't seem to be bigging it up as the breakthrough answer to the industry's problems. Are they worried about bastardising sales of their other products? Or is there a lot more to come on our lysate tomorrow?

The Oscars stage show and awards presentations take place Tuesday evening so I imagine new product award hopefuls would wait until Wednesday to launch in case they can add a sticker to their promo material.
