Another reason that I don't think a bid is likely is that with such a large Fund or Funds selling a serious prospective bidder would have taken them off their hands for a better price than they are getting on the open market.

Even with all the trading in the last few months building a stake as large as Slaters would not have been possible . For a start we don't know how many entities have been mopping these up. In the very near future someone will have to say how many shares they have aquired or fall foul of the rules. The AGM should reveal who is now in control of stock. Until then I would suggest the speculation should be put on hold. If there was a serious threat the sp would already be taking off skywards.

If they are getting paid well enough options should only be based on performance and that includes the sp. Are they getting paid enough?

DN2024 Dilution only due to expansion, not paying day to day expences. A considerable amount was due to Slater wanting to buy in and is the reason he now owns over 300 million shares.

Edzi, quite honestly I haven't a clue. I came here on the rebound from Versarian, Iofina and Reach all of which screwed up and managed to diminish my investment. This got most of my cash back and now it's lost a lot of it again. I'm hoping that no-one will move in on us as I can see myself having a relatively quiet life for the next few years without having to chance my arm elsewhere. The only things making money for me at the moment are gold coins. I think it is certainly something we need to keep in the front of our minds and I would certainly welcome other peoples ideas on it. Actually the most unlikely stocks seem to do really well. Had I invested in Marks and Spencer I would now be sitting on more capital. C'est la vie!

If that is the case it will be when JLP has proven its worth and the sp should be high enough to encourage a number of bidders which will hike the price.

I think the payments need to be justified in relation to "paying due regard to the interests of shareholders as a whole and the performance of the Company" I can't see how these come anywhere qualifying in relation to that. Perhaps we should sugest the options should be bought back in cash and the shares not issued at all.

Will Slater be at the meeting? Was he there last year?

If it was PIs I dont think the trading would be so well managed.

Even with the buying that is going on at present IRH would only own a fraction of the company. They would be outgunned by the likes of Slater and combined PI numbers on here who would not entertain the company being sold for a ridiculous price. We will have to see who owns what when the dust settles.
