I'm not pretending I know more than anyone Edzi, I'm just saying no-one knows what is happening at present but what is the problem, The wheel of fate is constantly turning. Re. the Brother in Law. You don't understand how comical that is to me as you have most likely never read the writings of Myles Na gCopaline (aka) Flann O'Brien, Irish Novelist who wrote a stirical column for The Irish Times in which "The Brother" features prominently. Read it. You might lighten up a bit :-)

No idea how many FIL are selling. Depends on what funds within the group are closing or merging. Certainly not the lot. My even be done already. Trading looks pretty normal today unless there is a change at the end.

Jupiter are out because their fund manager left to set up his own management company. In fit of pique they sold the fund down. As to others who knows, tidying up, fund holders cashing in (so all shares sold down to pay them off)? I doubt it's anything more than that. Re brokers, they have as much of a clue as many on here and probably less. It's amazing how many influential movers and shakers you speak to Edzi. Has the brother in law got an opinion? Love to hear it and will probably change my whole investment strategy on the basis of it :-)

Nothing like that I'm sure. WithFidelity a fund is closing lock stock and barrel and who knows what Cannacord are up to. Are they reducing other stock as well?

I think the sp is completely divorced from reality Bluebelly. I normally say only those who need to sell should worry but it's grindingly depressive to look at it day by day. The board had better be on top form at the AGM and the figures for the next 6 months need to be excellent otherwise more will lose patience.

Hopefully we won't still be waiting in 2 years time. This is interminable. We don't have the slightest as to how many shares are left to dispose of. It will be interesting to see what they say at the AGM.

Just hope we get some good news before buyers get bored.

Question now is when will this buying actually start to move the needle on here.

By the way, I don't disagree with you about how some staff behave but that is the same everywhere and the same can be said about some employers who take advantage. That is why checks and balances need to be instituted and constantly reviewed. I'm all for business being encouraged to thrive but all must pay their fair share to providing an environment where it is possible. All need to play their part.

Edzi, I would have thought tat having run a business the first thing you might have learned is that if you don't pay your employees enough they will go elsewhere. The same applies to public sector staff who have fallen behind over the last 15 years and on many counts they are of necessity better educated than private sector workers. Please don't mention the pensions. Without them there would be a general exodus from all sectors. It is the only thing that kept many people in the job. by the way, I may live in Germany but I pay tax on my UK pensions in the UK as does my wife under duel taxation agreements. I also maintain a house in the UK so pay council tax on that plus VAT on my frequent visits.

My wife who was a headteacher would have to disagree with you there Edzi, as would I. Blairs government made a huge contribution to education when they came in. It is rather simplistic to saythat nolabour government does any good. You seem to have benefited rather a lot from the post war labour governments setting up of the NHS.

Doesn't matter to me as I pay tax on Aim shares in Germany even the ones in the ISA. 27 1/2 % and only an 800 Euro allowance so I'm sorry all the bleating is a bit pathetic, If you want good services someone has to pay. and please don't start moaning about undeserving cases. There will always be some as it is impossible to target help for the deserving perfectly. That should not of course be a reason not to try. If a little bit of extra tax puts people off buying shares then tough luck. It will come back in once they realise there may not be a better place for their cash.

If the 4.55s are sells Dorfan what price the buys? I'm not sure how you work that one out as dummy buys were at that price most of the day.

I doubt much will happen with the sp. Who is going to sell? Not whoever has been mopping up several hundred million shares at these silly prices . Even if some others do sell they will be instantly mopped up again so I would say traders beware.

No sign of them yet and nothing on the same scale yesterday.
