The company can only tell us what it knows to be true and there are a lot of variables in play here at present. A few tankers dribbling through the Gulf won't have an effect when hundreds are locked in and out and that situation is cumulative and not recoverable. It's like global warming. Groundshiftinc, a few years ago we were looking forward to the technology being applied or licenced to many different metals in many different jurisdictions but the emphasis moving entirely to copper has kaiboshed that at least for now. It was one of the things that moved the sp so I would be happy if we could have some more of that forward thinking when the current problems have been sorted.

I am so sorry if "some" people think I am being rude but when there is such a concerted (look up the real meaning if this is your second language) effort to drive the sp down from those who pretend they either have stock or are looking to buy I don't honestly feel any remorse for them. If someone has strayed onto this board and doesn't yet understand the dynamics then it will profit them to analyse some of the posters historical efforts. There are only one or two sources of reliable info on here and I don't lay claim to them but they dont include those who constantly speculate on the negative side.

As I think I said in an earlier post if an II needs cash for anything they will sell the most liquid shares in their portfolio and JLP unfortunately fits that bill because of the constant turnover mainly due (but not entirely) to PI activity. It's happened regularly in the past.

Happy. IIs don't always sell because a company is not living up to expectations. It more often depends on the liquidity of shares that they can sell easily if they require funds elsewhere. Unfortunately stock in JLP is pretty liquid due to the large number of PIs and sales are easily mopped up but this also means that MMs are constantly lowering the price to keep encouraging the liquidity.

The buying and selling does not appear to be news related at present but mainly a few people buying in counterbalanced by a large seller cashing in when there is an opportunity. We are not going to see anything significant until we get some definitive news on Molefe or the LWP. As soon as we can show what future (and present ) production might look like we wil be catching up with the copper price. Until then it's just hold and hope. We are definitely in the right commodity so only a right royal Furkup will deny us the spoils.

There is always plenty of talk about the targets for copper being missed but not enough analysis as to why that has happened and how the situation now has changed. As I said earlier this whole thing has taken much longer than I estimated 4 years ago but problems obviously arose that were not forseen around the chrome business and the copper expansion. Hopefully those are now receeding into the distance. Time will tell whether the correct path has been chosen but keeping on raking up estimates from previous years without also mentioning additions to the company asset portfolio is misleading. JLP is in a much better position than when it was completely reliant on the goodwill of others to provide the work.

That is a guess based on very little evidence olddrongo. We shall wait and see who is right (or lucky).

The disconnect is what makes this an outstanding bet as long as Leon doesn't mess up.
