BKIR are up, and ALBK have just moved into positive territory. Other financials are ticking up a bit, which suggests that US markets are going to open up.

the MM's rig things? This share has been driven down, first in Europe then in the USA, to the extent that no-one knows who is following who. The price bucked down this morning, but has since rebounded to end up where it was, just in time for the effects of the US market - whether positive or negative, to kick in.

Price is picking up now. The US market will I feel move up today. That should put these into positive territory.

These have fallen by 8 p. yet my brokers can find no significant RNS. Could be that the MM's know something, or that they are just getting edgy because of the general market sentiment. I have just topped up with another 10 thousand shares. TWO companies are after them after all!

These shares are worth a quid each - easily, I believe. I posted in March that they should never have dropped the way they had - sitting on some of the highest, and most reliable PGE grades in the world. That's the advantage of some of the Bushveld 'reefs' - reliablity.

If the resource update announcement is true, it is likely to be on improved resources. It is very seldom that resources DECREASE. That's one simple fact of geo-economics.

So, the postings of trades are wrong. 5000 shares will cost you £9000, 2000 shares will cost just under £4000 etc.

They aren't penny shares - they are in Euros and are therefore about 1.80 each! Easy mistake - many have made it before.

Agreed. An aproximate 20 k's worth of net sales today, and the company is 'downvalued' by over a million quid!

This has been so long in the offing. The good news is that suddenly the 'potential' takeover price has apparently jumped from c. 60 p to 80 p. I hope this isn't just a case of 'news hype'! Might have guessed it was on the way, by the fact that the MM's have DROPPED the price a notch or two recently!!!

The Zinc at Clay Lake is almost certainly inconsequential, in terms of an economic deposit. It might be a pointer to the gold found at Clay Lake - that is the best bet. The high levels of Zn in soils are going to form a wide 'spread' due to hydromorphic dispersion and concentration. Base metal mineralisation is often spatially associated with gold in the Southern Uplands tract, but seldom is coeval. The possible association with Galmoy is tenous, to say the least!

Thanks for the note. First the company issues an announcement that it intends to seek advice on Administration, then it decides to hold a meeting. Perhaps the second announcement should contain some assurances re. returning value to shareholders. With the loan notes fiasco as well, if the company was to be wound up in following the sale of the call centre, the credibility and legality of such a 'wind up' might be called into question.

The share price is rising because the newspaper article reveals Portland's intent as well as its need to seek a partner or partners. Portland's gas storage scheme is the biggest in the UK, and natural gas traps are very difficult beasts to find. There are other companies looking elsewhere in Europe and the UK - e.g. IRG. they are already teamed up in Italy. The advantage is that Europe has the technology and the demand and, most especially the seasonal demand variation for gas to make gas storage pay. The storer buys in the summer and sells in the winter, at 2 to 3 times the price. This is Portland's intent. ' Only problem is that you need a gas supply company that is prepared to strike a deal, and they are only likely to do so if they share in the price differential profit. The easiest way to do this is by takeover, or by acquiring a significant stake in Portland. See my posts earlier in the year.

Finally, the news that was predictable a few months ago when these started to climb! In time a partner or partners will be announced. Seasonal gas storage is a potential enormous money spinner.
