Why the huge drop guys? What's in the RNS's to warrant such a drop? Is the takeover in doubt?

Genuinely sorry for all you who have lost out here. I suppose the only positive for those still invested here is that you can offset this total loss against your capital gains tax return. Small comfort, I know, but better than nothing.

Whats everyones prediction for the share price today?

You have to conclude that Lonmin were desperate to accept this low offer from Sibanye because they had run out of road as a going concern. Look at how the Rand has strengthened against the dollar in recent weeks and the continuing weakness of Platinum. Pressure from all sides and burning cash. This offer is a get out of jail free card and the board knew it. I think anyone invested in Lonmin before today has dodged a bullet today. I think there is more to run for this story and another bidder could show their hand quite soon. Ultimately, we could see a bidding war before this is resolved. Im pondering a punt on this if it dips below 70p in next week or so. Obviously, until another offer comes in Lonmin share price now tied to Sibanye share price.

By the way, I bought in here this morning at 259p and now happy to sit it out for however long it takes.

Very strong support at 258p. Its bounced of this a few months ago after testing it several times. I think anyone buying around this 260p level is buying the bottom. Happy days ahead. Also, I could quite easily see this getting snapped up by a bigger (foreign?) fish.

In fact bought Astra Zeneca last week instead at 40.50 but think I may have made an error in doing so. Currently down about 40 quid plus costs but if this breaks even this week I'll switch into Voda.Thats the plan anyway.

Been watching these buggers closely for about a fortnight now. Almost bought last week at 1.88 but felt they had further to drop. However, I now feel that that may have been the bottom and will buy on sub 1.90 hopefully this week with a view to holding till 2.10.

Just bought into these at 40.53 earlier. 8 grands worth. For me it's a no-brainer with the low sp and almost 5% divi. There's a very good reason why this stock is embedded in some of the largest well known equity funds like Woodfords. And if Pfizer come sniffing again it could be smiles all round. Fill yer boots at these prices I say.

Cashed out at 3.87 with a 900 quid profit. Not bad for a 4 day trade. It'll probably rocket now knowing my luck!

This is a 4 quid+ share all day long in my book.

Just bagged 15 grands worth at 3.65 for the long haul. I reckon the Chinese will snap this up before too long or at least announce a lucrative deal with IAG. Decent divi in the meantime and if they drop a lot from here I've another 15k at the ready to average down.

Not to mention Deutsche bank possibly going tits up. That would be massive. There's just so much that can go wrong everywhere you look.

Thanks for that bud. Not got any yet and thinking 8 grand now and 8 more if it dips below 3.40. Nice trade without the hated stamp duty, just like Glen. It's either this or TW. Was gonna dabble in Lloyds again after making 2.5 grand on it recently but that's a very risky play with actual Brexit getting ever closer. I think a large market correction is coming in next 6-8weeks that's why I'm nervous about going in with ftse this high. Surely it can't stay above 7000 for long. Also, strangely, not much news coming out of China recently about their slowdown.

JMO, good to see you on this board! Have you got any of these yet? And if so what was your entry price? I'm keeping a close eye on em ready for a buy in. What price do you recommend? Do you pay stamp duty on these btw? Cheers

Don't believe all this bulls*it that a falling pound is all bad for the country. It's not. A weak pound gives a massive boost to our exporters who sell goods around the world. This is very good for the economy. You never hear the Remain side mention this when spouting their scare stories. Brexit? Bring it on I say!!!
