You said "until" a vaccine was developed, implying that antibody testing no longer needed or relevant afterwards. Vaccines are very expensive compared to a £10 thumb prick test for antibodies. If the antibody test is PHE certified it means it can be relied upon and so form the basis of deciding who needs a costly vaccine jab.

Wrong! Once a vaccine is developed there is an even greater need for antibody test - to check if you need to be vaccinated. If you have antibodies, no need to be vaccinated as you already have natural immune defences.
