One thing's for sure. While it stays like this no one benefits. Glencore and Zioc have an asset but not the cold hard cash. Chinese have a target but no mine ownership. Shareholders have a promise of future riches. RoC have a basket case economy needing fresh jobs and income and relevance.

So, why are the main players simply happy to let the status quo continue??? World's 5th largest iron ore deposit going to waste. Utter madness.

It's time the Govt got a grip of this blatant market corruption. After all, they have tightened the regulations on betting shops so why not the AIM market? Corruption is rife and happens routinely every day and punters get fleeced. It's rigged to high heaven against the average punter.

And let's not forget that it won't be little Zioc around the negotiating table, it will be Jumelles representatives including the hard headed Glencore guys who are sharper and more seasoned negotiators than the Chinese.

This RNS could have been issued 2 months ago *or* in just 4 weeks lumped in with financial update. Why now of all times ffs ??. It doesn't make any sense unless it's a negotiating tactic.

Had another think about the zioc RNS and I think some are absolutely spot-on by saying this is a message to current buyout negotiations that Zioc are NOT reliant on the Chinese deepwater port. We have a credible route to market *without* the Chinese. Tells me Chinese playing hardball with zioc thinking they have us over a barrel because we're reliant on them building a port. This RNS says "we're not" so start talking serious money or Fortescue will come sniffing as well as others. The wider market hasn't spotted this yet. No mention of Coidic confirms it for me.

atg, Zioc will be long gone before a shovel ever hits the dirt. Zioc is a discoverer and prover-upper, not a mining outfit.
