Guys, I emailed Gary Nagle (new Glencore CEO) just on the off chance a week ago about his intentions for Zanaga. I never expected any kind of response, However, he has replied to my email. Here is the conversation..........

"Hi Gary,

Please forgive my intrusion with this email.

I would like to wish you a successful time as Glencore's new CEO in 2021.

I hope that, unlike with Mr Glasenberg, you will finally unlock the massive potential of the Zanaga Iron Ore Project (ZIOP) in Republic of Congo.

I am both a Glencore shareholder and also a Zioc (Glen's 50% -1 joint venture partner) shareholder. I, like many others, are completely frustrated at the lack of progress with the Zanaga project (particularly as iron ore prices rocket and Sino/Australian relations deteriorate).

Please will you, as Glencore's new CEO, re-assess and bring this potentially gigantic project to life. I have been invested in the project now for approx 4 years and long to see some material progress either developing the resource or selling it to another party who will.

I hope you get to read this and an acknowledgement that you have would be greatfully appreciated.

Thank you for your time and, again, very best of luck in your new role."

OK, not earth shattering but he replied and we now know he is at least aware of the Zanaga project!

No reply from Trahar either after a week.

My faith being severely tested now. BoD seem asleep at the wheel.

As the title says....... I've today emailed Andrew Trahar asking when us shareholders will get our promised end-of-year project update.

Let's see if he responds.

Indeed. It's plainly obvious that it's 2020 or never.

I'm looking at this 2 ways......

1. The tweets are a cryptic way of saying "get onboard folks - we're heading for the big time but due to NDA we have to communicate this way"

Or

2. Zilch going on in the background. Total inpasse. Glen disinterested. Chinese losing patience and interest. No other interest and Zioc desperate to keep investors invested. They are scared that if the truth was told, there'd be an exodus and 1p per share.

I'm not sure if it's 1 or 2. What about you?

These tweets are like a pr*ck tease. I'd rather Trahar/Elphicke/Velloza/Dines et-all were busy sorting something "material" out than wasting time on irrelevant tweets everyday.

The overwhelming problem here is that our partner, Glencore, has this Zanaga project in a choke-hold and no sign of it letting go anytime soon.

We Zioc shareholders are prisoners of Glencore.

RottenRobbie has his buy-in. No more de-ramps, now a fully paid up ramper.

Trahar is the master of irrelevant tweets but wouldn't recognize a deal if it slapped him on the chops. I suspect we have a weak, unmotivated BoD + management team who are happy keeping the status quo.

I've been in here for 4 long, hard years now and to be honest, now getting really fed up of the wait. The tweets are an irritation - give me a material RNS or stfu. I can't/won't sell as underwater by about 4p.

I think a new dynamic, dealmaker CEO is what's needed now to finally deliver some long awaited shareholder value.

For me, it's now or never. There will never be a better time, economically or geo-politically to sell this asset. All the stars are now aligned - and yet, we continue to wait......................

I must say I'm beginning to wonder if Mr Elphicke is the right person to see this project to fruition, be that project development leading to mining and income, or simply a sale to the highest bidder.

I think we need a deal-maker and a motivated one at that as our CEO. Mr Elphick DOESN'T look to be what's needed here. We need a player.

Here comes the Friday afternoon sell-off brigade

2p this year is pie in the sky.

Next year, perhaps with a fair wind behind us. 1p target for this year is realistic.

Seems to me like Glencore have become our ball and chain.

Is anybody else getting a bit p**sed off at all the zioc tweets like me?

I mean, instead of sitting on the tweeter all day, shouldn't they be trying to flog this resource?? It's not rocket science - just hang a for sale sign around it while the geopolitics and iron ore environment are the most favourable for years. The longer a sale takes, the more leverage the buyer will have as the iron ore cycle reverts back like it did in 2014.

Trahar needs to strike while the iron is still hot.
