We could see a dip in sp on Friday so could be a great time to buy in or add more... the eu lockdown must’ve definitely made an impact.. would love to see it drop to 190s so I can buy more as I am very certain we will see a big bounce in earnings in the summer with more cash added in the bank

Blue, ofc I get where u r coming from, especially if it’s a family, these are big additional costs.. but, atm due to small number of flights etc, ppl won’t care and will want to go on a holiday ASAP, and a lot have saved up pretty well.. so the pcr announcement can only affect the sp in a positive way (if it’s relaxed in some form) otherwise everyone has already understood that it’s here to stay and will be part of our lives for the foreseeable future

Pcr will stay for a while, everyone has already made peace with it.. so it won’t affect the sp unless it’s lifted, which won’t happen in the near future for sure... most important thing now is the opening of borders and hopefully we won’t see any delays in decisions

John that is incorrect, if u have a business in Spain or relatives u can still travel there, just need a valid excuse, I’ve already been there and bk 3 times this year, plus a lot of brits have residencies and they can freely travel as long as the flights are available

I agree there will be a lot of one way traffic, but it’s better than the current situation so I’ll take that

Tests are here to stay but the travel will resume latest by June to pretty much all of Europe and US.. May is a different story, but even amber light countries will see a pick up in visitors, ppl will travel and pay extra.. will be very interesting to see the results on Friday

Boris will def want to open up travel asap just to rub it in and show that UK did better without eu lol as long as we get a US corridor by end of May we will have a very strong summer. Traders will def be waiting on the sidelines as many will try to jump in around 190 mark if the government starts to drag this on.. but if we get a hint that all is going well I can see us gradually going up before the next announcement

Regarding the results everyone is expecting a sh*tshow, so if we get better than expected the sp will react instantly.. if all goes well we should see some very good numbers for the next quarter and hopefully the final one will be the best since 2019

Big blue, it was reported on sky news today... around 11th of May we will know who goes in the green list.. but atm it looks good, am only hoping that US will be able to join the list by June review, if there is a hint of that sentiment will start to grow during May

Most important corridor will be the US one, so fingers crossed may will be the turning point

If the US corridor gets a go ahead markets will make a meal of it and the sp will def test 2.30 mark.. May could become the turning point for the upcoming quarter and unless things go sour in September, we should see big numbers from May onwards. 2H of the year could be something of a blockbuster if vaccines really do keep the number of deaths at bare minimum (which we are seeing in few places around the world already).. If things go well expecting to see lots of punters until the end of the year
