Let’s make one thing clear, this news was out at the end of December.. in January it was confirmed that only one shot is needed and that’s what made JJ a stand out vaccine.. however they already said that they won’t be able to produce much until the end of the year and even then they are looking at around 200m doses.. Doc my issue isn’t with the easing of the lockdown, I believe no lockdowns should’ve taken place to begin with. What annoys me is the same approach as before. Boris portrays himself as the saviour of UK and that’s his “image” to make sure he still gets the popular vote.. if they spoke truthfully and had an actual plan, I wouldnt be so angry.. everything with him is a media circus and that’s why he will never be held accountable for all the mistakes him and his unqualified idiots made..

How will the markets react if the infection numbers jump after the 2nd stage of easing goes through.. say around end of April we start getting spikes again.. will Boris reverse the one way irreversible road? Will travel companies start refunding ppl again because everyone is trying to be clever and booking everything now?.. this government keeps creating a mess after mess without thinking about the consequences...

I was very surprised that the sp was holding well, I was expecting a drop to around 155 lvl, because let’s face it this is what happens in aim after a big rise and a quite period etc... I guess we are 2/3 weeks late but this still happened.. we have about 10ish days more of nothing and then am expecting the demand to pick up again with speculators coming in for activ2 p2 results, p3 launch, may be interims on home trials and an update on p3 uk arm

One third, that’s a lot of ppl that will be needing antivirals.. also the vaccinations will have to continue non stop for a long time for covid to get under control.. some of u think that the first round of vaccines will do the job lol obv not enough brain cells to understand what kind of a task this is to vaccinate as many ppl as possible every 6/8 months, and that’s not even taking into account that we will need boosters to help with the new strains etc..

There are limitations of course. The study only tracked those who were admitted to hospital and whether they had had a vaccine or not.
It didn't count anybody who had died from Covid in a care home, for example. And it didn't look at transmissibility, only the risk of becoming seriously ill.
Other similar studies are being conducted across the UK but this data will be seen as extremely encouraging... from the bbc itself, again they are making big headlines with very questionable substance

If the trial is good, we will get the approval in US and am sure Biden would want to be the first leader to start stockpiling.. also some interesting reports in the last week or so about the flu numbers this winter, at 130 year low.. this means that we could get a massive outbreak in the coming winter as the immunity will be extremely low.. more reasons why antivirals will be in huge demand..

Alinz that’s an amateur mistake on ur part.. the mc has increased in comparison to before and we hit an all time high not long ago... most of u need to understand that an mc of 350/400m is a lot and until we get further solid proof that sng works the sp can’t go above 400m lvl.. only thing that can push the sp is results anticipation when the herd arrives.. until then this is a fair lvl..

Pharma not sure why ud think that.. sp is moving around because it’s a quite period and was always going to happen regardless of the Covid numbers.. lockdown isn’t being eased that boris confirmed it today.. until 29th of March at least and after the will only depend on the spread lvls and hospital admissions.. yo trial am sure is close to being finished, and US pII as well.. PIII can be filled very quickly even if the infected numbers drop to below 1k a day, which seems very unlucky until May/June time... ppl have to remember that April saw another spike last year and governments are being very careful not to repeat the same mistakes... Also forget about Israel and the data from there, they don’t have new strains infecting ppl everyday.. let them fully open their borders with no travel restrictions and no restrictions on entries and then let’s see if vaccines produce the same numbers as they have done in their “real world” study

Also I love how the data they collected was during a ****ing lockdown.. let’s open everything up and then see (with new strains getting out of control) if vaccines really do help prevent the spread lol

Vaccines don’t stop or slow down the spread of covid but what they do is drop the number of deaths significantly.. however strains do pose more headaches in terms of time lines etc boosters will need to be made then distributed and given to ppl that are already vaxed so the queues will increase until we get to the point where covid becomes like seasonal flu.. this can take at least another 2 years and lockdowns are useless, they do more damage long term.. so yes, we NEED good working vaccines and treatments together.

Ill be very surprised if the home trial results arent announced in March..

This is old news, bbc only just today reporting that.. most of us read that a week or two ago.. they are super quick to report some nonsense about the vaccines but anything else is left for much later lol

Dibs but that’s the thing it’s not.. if u look at the % it’s only 1.5ish.. even though we opened at 194, but closed at 190.. so the fall is calculated from 190 instead of 194.. last 8/9 days we have been seeing this trend and I can’t quite understand wtf is happening in the background..

28 days for the final results but if things really well (above 80%) pretty sure as Activ2 P3 commences we might get orders from US just to make sure they benefit the most from this. Everything is going to plan! But I do not share the enthusiasm on the sp movement today. This is aim after all, we had a rise towards this news because most of us already knew that active2 has started. So don’t be surprised if after the initial rise we see the sp retreating. Would love to be proven wrong! So come on £2.29!!
