I would love a fly on the wall insight as to what bankers decided to broker this deal & how they valued both companies assets to get a merger %.
Anyway what's done is done. In my opinion L.K was a good:
•CEO
•PR man
•shareholder liaison
•oil man
•businessman
•negotiator

I have yet to see if the current CEO is capable of these attributes which warrants such a generous salary.

T.B I'm of the opinion that CERP got traded for 2 pieces of paper. My limited knowledge pre merger was that all BPC had was 2 licences; licences which I class as liabilities until they actually start generating income. Then I will class them as an asset.

But I am not angry at L.K or the merger. Had I of actually researched the Bahamas historic well results beforehand, I would of voted NO to the merger. Not that 1 vote would of made a difference. But at least I would of done my due diligence and would of been prepared for the drill results.

Ross I see things differently to you on the T&T assets. Its my understanding L.K wanted to get away from the "NR ethos" of just drilling infils. From memory he had a lot of financial restructuring to do, which he achieved. Then did a deal where CERP acquired a lot of existing wells.
The 3 year plan was working.
Ok so production couldn't be sustained at double the rates when NR was in charge. But it did peak at 1000bpd under L.K.

Saffron was game changer under his tenure, then came Covid and the Merger. The only complaint I had of L.K was the merger. From what I saw, L.K has been the most productive CEO LGO/CERP/BPC has had.

At least we now know who is holding the SP down. Bo !!!! A short at .45 though, yikes. With a margin call it must of a cost £50 to keep the position open.

Ross i disagree with your assessment but accept your opinion and ask; when you say "run better", what do you think done was badly during the L.K tenure?

Ross natural T&T well pressure declines aside does your deep dive into CERP factor in the Oil price reaching $-10 for a brief period? And a sustained period last year where oil was sub $30. Any oil company which had lifting costs higher than that has been in trouble.
Even BP lost 45% of its value during Covid.
M&A is natural during extreme market/sector movements do you not agree?

This is the first post I have read from you that I agree with 100% and have zero point of contention.

That being said, I would take a overnight growth if it was offered with a 100% guarantee.

The evil plot anecdote believed by a few LTH holders has been given credence by the negative/realistic post on the board today.

I would argue the negative or realistic points being made today is in direct response to posts which paint the picture that the company results are awesome & a great successful outcome is days away in which the last 3 months of company performance shall be corrected.

Regardless of the need to believe in evil doers to explain the company performance, the results are the results.
Saying 1500bpd will never be achieved does not make it impossible for that to be achieved. Saying a Farm In is not weeks away does not mean the Farm In company will now pull out of any agreement. But whatever one needs to believe to make it through the day...

In my opinion the current trading range should only be for 2 more range bound weeks though as I expect the SP to break to the upside leading up to May spud. So the *shorters* will need to close positions or get caught holding the bag right?
If BPC was one of those Reddit stocks this scenario would be irrefutable. There is no evidence to suggest it is. You guys know I like evidence rather than baseless claims.

All that aside, BPC is an oil E&P company. Its purpose is to search for more oil. To argue it is unsuccessfully doing that, in my opinion is asinine.
Its no secret that I am not confident in the Bahamas licence. But wanting BPC to produce more oil is why I chose to invest. I do believe the Bahamas licence is reducing BPC's capacity to do that as it is spending capital which could be deployed in increasing production in its other assets rather than non proven assets.

We all want BPC to be successful. We all have different opinions on how it does just that. I'd rather that slow but sure gradual organic growth rather than a roulette spin explosive overnight growth. Evidently some value the overnight growth gamble more. Maybe that is because of the desperate need to get ones portfolio back in the black.

Has BPC's financial position not been clarified in the corporate update?

Its my understanding that 1 well will be drilled in May. Depending on the result then between 1 -9 further Wells could be attempted this year.
The 30 well outline is a possible goal for year end 2022. Are you interpreting this as BPC need the Capex today to drill 30 Wells?

Are you making stock recommendations?

I accept you may think its uninvestable but people are free to me their own mind up on whether to invest.

I will add that what I find quite odd is that I have never posted anything that isn't factual. When I have posted interpretation or opinion based, I have stated so and debated my opinion supported by my reasoning. I always accept when anyone disagrees with my opinion or reasoning.

I have never made a claim or accusation without providing evidence or quote.

Just so I'm clear; are you recommending people invest in BPC? Where as I am....? doing the opposite? (I am presuming that's what you are suggesting{ please provide any quote as evidence if this is the case})
Or are you recommending people invest because I am looking forward to a 10 fold production increase which I am confident will drag the SP higher. And you disagree with that out of principle because even though that's exactly what I have posted, I am a wolf in sheeps clothing?
