On your reckoning I might be a tree hugging, socialist moron but what's the worst that can happen my way? We might even end up with a planet that lasts a little longer for our kids.

So how can metal extraction change or even start to change? Maybe Mather is doing this because he actually believes it's the way forwards. I started investing here a long time ago and have been through a great deal of the ups and downs. The reason I am still invested is because we plant trees, want to block cave and engage with the people who live there.

Don't you see the increase in harvesting the planets resources in am unsustainable way is having a real affect on the environment. Antarctica recorded a temperature of just under 20 degrees c this week. It's made of ice. Ice. Try leaving some ice in your kitchen while you're cooking and see what happens.

Mather has made it crystal clear that the environmental impact will be of paramount importance and the government have no choice but to listen to the population as we saw earlier in the year.
You could even invest your money in a license to frack in your own garden.

I can see now why they don't really want mining in THEIR country.
