You see, some people only care about the money and are happy to sacrifice everything and everyone else to get what they want. I get that Montie's post was gilded with sarcasm but ironically they are right. No pollenators, no people. My take on all this is that looking after the locals of all species shapes and sizes is important.

This is the continuing mantra of the company so they obviously believe that being sensitive to the needs of the locals and the environment the locals live in, is an important part of responsible mining.

The worry is that I think they believe that.

So now we can't believe the scientists, financial sector, right wing press, left wing press , tree huggers who are directly involved, nobel prize prize nominees or internationally respected journalists like David Attenborough but we should take notice of an anonymous poster on the internet.

Rusty, Greta Thunberg is backed up by around 95% of all qualified scientists who have any idea about what is happening to the planet. It's far from being just the opinion of a 16 year old.

Your argument about being unable to destroy the planet after 3.86 billion years is infantile.

We have done far more to damage the environment since the industrial revolution than in the previous 13.85 billion years. The planet will still be here but we will not unless some effort is made to address the constant misuse of our resources.
