VincentVega, the final twisting of the knife into those that funded so much of this project, if Chris Fraser had an ounce of decency about him we would have been reading about how he's given this obscene amount of money for failure to good causes amongst the community's were so many people lost so much that rested firmly on his abilities or as turned out total lack of abilities in big finance, the very field where he allowed others to run rings around him.

Hi, I have deliberately refrained from posting on here so as to avoid any chance of influencing anyone in this dreadful situation, firstly I now have no financial stake in Sirius short of a vote which I deliberately kept, it's obvious to me that we have some very emotional investors here who are allowing their hearts instead of their heads rule their desire to stop this AAL buyout, its also become pretty obvious to me that certain posters on this board are being driven by the desire to hurt one individual CF at the huge risk of hurting hundreds of Employees in Sirius by sending SXX into Administration, I have always taken my financial responsibilities upon myself and no one else, it's been repeated a thousand times on this board that no one but no one made you buy shares in SXX, it was a decision we as individuals alone took.

I'm not going to give a long winded lecture to anybody, I made a large mistake in the level of financial commitment to SXX against the advice of plenty of wise people I know personally one of them being a friend who is a financial advisor.

I'm also not here today to try and influence anybody's decision in which way to vote.
What I am hoping to get through to anybody wavering a this point in time is this.

Please please make this decision based on your own thoughts and not on some of the quite frankly detached from reality posters on here who are very much showing
detachment from any sensible reasoning and driven by satisfying their desire to hurt one or two people at the very real possibility of a great many people losing their livelihoods, there are many hundreds of people putting food on their family's tables over this decision of which they had no choice about how much of their personal wealth was being put at risk by buying shares in SXX, I did and I accept my own responsibility, I will most certainly be voting yes.

Goodbye to you all, I'm personally gutted this hasn't worked out as it should have, I have a far more personal attachment to this project for my area that my own self.

Leppington, after your foray into the local press lashing out at the company and crying about the decisions you made to commit your life savings to Sirius I find it somewhat amusing that you think that CF might be tempted to visit your establishment "on you" I know quite a few local investors that won't be stepping foot in your pub let alone the man that then went on to say to the media that people had not taken professional advice before investing so much of their wealth in Sirius, I strongly suspect it was because of your actions that he felt the need to say that!!!.

Thanks Yellow, I just had to change the title so as to not perpetuate the myth of outr Flat Earth friend, it doesn't matter how much proof is put forward, many hours of debate over on iii with Dogstar he will never see it any differently, these conversations went on years ago when the NYMNP commissioned various party's to provide insight into Polyhalite, the company have gained Planning Permission have forward sales contracts in excess of its early years capacity and ICL the company that tried its utmost to stop Sirius from gaining Planning Permission is currently spending considerable sums to increase its capacity of the product it said had no demand yet Dogstar is still stuck in 2011.

Still back in the real world things have moved on and we are talking about actual boring rather than hypothetical ;-)

Some Perspective - fundraising required is c.5% of NPV

Seems to be all sorts of wild speculation on here over the last few days about how bad the deal will be for shareholders and the scale of likely 'dilution' ahead. The presentation provided by the Company in November (less than two months ago) highlighted that the revised NPV of the project under the proposed phased approach to the remaining financing is $11.3Bn - and that's with the pessimistic case of 24 month deferral of the deferred phase (the NPV is $12.5Bn with the 12 month deferral). Whether it's done through royalties or convertible instruments, what the Company is effectively 'selling' to a potential new partner (and the thing the new partner will evaluate as a business case) is a slice of that NPV, in return for the investment funding. ??The Company has said that it is seeking to raise $600m through the strategic investor / financial investor process. So, they only actually need to raise approximately 5% of the latest confirmed NPV of the project at this point. So the question is, what would be a sensible slice of the Company to give away to the new investor(s) for that? ??What about 5% of the project? Well, that just gets the investors their money back, so not very attractive. ??What about 10% of the project? OK, that doubles the investor's money - attractive, but probably not attractive enough given the risks. ??15% trebles their money i.e. turns $600m into $1.8Bn and 20% quadruples it to £2.4Bn. By way of comparison, it would take a high yield Bond Holder 20 years to make that kind of return on a coupon of 15%.??You can keep on working the sums, but there will surely be a point where one of the multiple parties involved thinks that they are getting a better deal for their money than they can get anywhere else in the world and that the risk is worth the reward (having undertaken their due diligence). I would personally be surprised if we give up more than the equivalent of 3 to 4 times the amount that the investors provide in NPV terms (i.e. if they provide $600m, I don't think we will give up more than $1.8Bn to $2.4Bn in NPV terms, which equates to between 16% and 21% of the Company). But lets say it goes to 25% of the NPV - that's approaching five times their initial investment back for the investor (which is a hell of a return) and still leaves 75% for existing shareholders (including CF of course).??It's not the most scientific way of estimating the premium we're likely to be paying to a new partner, but I think it's the simplest way of thinking about it.

Polyminer2, Id be very cautious about mentioning ICL and honest in the same sentance, not that long ago they said there was no discernable market for Polyhailte and long term security of your colleagues was secure, this was just before making hundreds of you guys redundant and announcing that the Sylvanite you have mined for decades was so depleated it was simply uneconomic to mine anymore, im afraid you have learnt nothing from your employers recent past history if you belive a word they say.

Thats not to say that I wish you nothing but long term secure employment.

Polyminer, the terminology from my conversations with the guys at Joy are mine not theirs obviously, I spent quite a bit of time talking with them, you might be interested to know I've operated a Continuous Miner myself, OK it was a virtual reality version LOL,, however the fact is that there are quite a few mines around the world extracting well in excess of 20million tons of ore and should the picks and configuration be developed I have no fears that Sirius will have all the other infrastructure to deal with these volumes in time, that really is not a concern for me at this time.

Morning Rangers & Polymminer, interesting that when I spoke to Joy Global a couple of years back to a guy who regularly services the demand for Maintanance at Boulby I put this very question to him, is reply was once the grinding tooths have been revised to deal with the Polyhalite hardness there is absolutely no reason that 20million tons of Polyhalite cannot be mined using multiple drives and differing methods such as Continuous Miners and Drill and Blast, he also told me they service mines globally that extract up to 30 million tons of ore a year, so guys and no disrespect to your trades I feel that you may just be letting your experience in a 50 year old worn out infrastructure cloud your judgment, one thing for sure only time will tell but I do not believe for one moment that Sirius have not had some pretty hefty due diligence on this very subject from a range of professionals.

Yuri, I was speaking purely from the psychological perspective of some of the posters on this board, the more I read some of the recent comments on here I feel that one or two are affected by what they read on here, this is exactly the aim of one particular repetitive poster who literally watches this board continually to jump on any sign of positivity with a negative counter, finger in the air calculations are a dream to give these bashers the ammunition they need to try and justify the continued and relentless agenda, interesting enough I have noticed that at there most frenzied bashing times the SP is more often than now on the rise regardless of what the write so no I don't believe they have any real effect on the SP but I do worry that one or two genuine investors are swayed by their tactics.

At this stage of the game I feel that some of your future SP projections do nothing but give fuel to the bashers, they use these figures whatever you predict right or wrong an excuse to counter balance with even more extreme figures, it's a different scenario once this mine is actually financed to completion and I would welcome constructive calculations but IMO you are simply feeding the resident troll at a stage where he is praying on your hopes and fears.
