To be fair the Jaguar is aimed at the Porsche models. The Aston is taking on, in the main, Bentley and Rolls Royce. In the Middle East, for example no Jaguar would cut it; it is ALL about prestige and branding - and it MUST be of the highest quality and prestige! They would consider a £90,000 Jaguar a car for the plebs. . . .ATB

The other way of looking at this is to ask “why did it rise so much”? Rather than “why it dropped so much”. That might sound, on the face of it, a little facetious; but it isn’t, trust me! This is moving up and down, like a wave, within a well defined range. The fairly large rise, was if we are being honest, based on very little. So a factory opens and produces its first new car. So what! This is a company which produces cars! It is still heavily dependent on (a) sentiment and (b) more importantly, the Market Makers and how they want to skin it. For my money (which is quite a lot here) it may fall to 50p but then the upward wave will occur again. Until we receive the factual numbers on sales, then we will need to be very patient and expect this to continue in its well-defined trading range. Great for the short term traders, but less so for the rest of us. Keep Calm and Carry on Driving. ATB

Well, personally I’m delighted with today’s close. Ex-Divi - combined with a pretty poor showing on the market as a whole, makes today look especially impressive. Give this company the ‘Scratch and Sniff’ test and it passes with flying colours. It quite literally has no weak areas in its make-up. Only external factors (Like regulatory nonsense perhaps), can have any influence - but the company itself, is an absolute money making machine - with ZERO debt. Buy this share and stick it in your Personal Pension Scheme, as it’s an absolute FTSE 250 Fire Cracker. . . . ATB

Exactly. We should expect to see an RNS tomorrow, saying that the Board have bought a lot of shares back during this morning’s early and sharp fall. Nice buying opp for Plus500 that’s for sure! We all win out of it though, so it’s happy days here. ATB

that I totally agree with an earlier post. As I said very plainly here on Friday, it was NEVER Avacta's product that Medusa were talking about. So, instead of thinking calmly and logically about it, everybody here starts flapping around like a bunch of inexperienced amateurs, (with way too much time on their hands it seems), forcing Avacta to have to waste their time issuing a RNS simply to placate people here. Leave them to do their work please, instead of wasting their time like a bunch of Clucking Chickens. Sweet Gods (Oh and it is not down due to Medusa; it is a typically volatile AIM stock (due mainly to inexperienced punters, panicking into buying and selling, [like Clucking Chickens!] - so this is completely normal). Rant over and all in the very best possible taste! ATB

I agree and while you can “never say never”, the Reputational damage of another placing, would be hugely damaging to AML. The DBX will be bringing the revenues in very soon now, so I see no reason for any kind of placing until next summer - if at all. This company is on its way now. Plenty Here, will know that I have been super positive about AML, having bought in in the very low 50’s - this is a ‘recovery play’ and has barely got to the first corner yet, having just left the start line. Do not think about selling as it’s just not that kind of share any more. This will make you a very tidy sum, so be patient and accept that it is in its infancy still; just watch and learn from here on. We’re only just moving through the gears here. . . . ATB

This is indeed correct. I said to my wife just yesterday, that I am currently breaking my most golden rule: “to never get emotionally involved in a share”. I have traded well over 2,000 times, so consider myself fairly experienced and pretty disciplined BUT Aston Martin Lagonda is such a romantic play! I just SO want it to do well. It is a truly iconic British brand, so I am going to stay emotionally involved and I don’t care what the good book says!! I am however, not anywhere near beginning to think about top-slicing, taking out my original investment etc etc. It is WAY to early to consider that. Watch this go through £1 at least, as the journey has, quite literally, only just started. Who gets out of the car when the starter lights have only just gone to green? Bonkers! Same difference folks. The starter flag has literally just been waved, the lights have gone green and we are off. Enjoy the ride in your Aston Martin. . . .

And yes, I drive a Porsche, which I love. BUT that Aston Martin DBX has shocked me. I’m not really a fan of SUV’s as I am enjoying a two door Porsche and all of the posing and ego blasting that comes with it. BUT that Aston Martin DBX is absolutely stunning. I am truly shocked that a SUV (“Sports Utility Vehicle”, well I mean come on; it screams dull!) could be quite so appealing. It’s lines are thoroughbred, the sounds is gorgeous, the inside styling is delicious. I Absolutely love the dashboard and that cosy, rich leather covering. I’ll not go on as, sadly, I’m not being paid any Sales commission for writing this. Yes I own shares here, but no I am not ramping. What I write has zero bearing on its share price, so that would be plain dumb. This is simply my take, on their take. For me, their take on what a SUV should look like, is clearly far beyond what I had thought possible for a small bus. It’s going to be a huge hit, in my opinion. Well done to Aston Martin and good luck with your new sporting lineage! Bravo.
