Better off out of the FTSE100. Its just too in the limelight for DT at such a young stage in its development. It can now tick along nice and discreetly(ish) from here. Too many excitable PI's drove this up, along with your usual disingenuous rampers; perfect storm! Now we are all paying for that folly. ATB

It may not be tomorrow, but this WILL fall through the £4 trap door, even if it is next week. It’s a horror story, but I for one, intend to cash in. But only when it is £3 something and not before. And it will be £3 something in due course, so be very judicious, if buying. This is a classic ‘Value Trap’ share.

one has to assume that there is a large seller in the background. The Market Makers must be awash with unwanted shares. They will only attract buyers to take them off their hands, by continually dropping the price. . . .sub £4? Yes, if they can't find enough buyers, then that is exactly where they will take it - 100%.

4tothefloor with regard to Brokers. I work in the City and have it on very good authority, that Buzz-Lighyear works for Berenbergs. When interviewed about Darktrace and his £10 Target Price, he was somewhat evasive; but when pushed further, did admit that it was falling but "Falling with Style"!

you obviously like the idea of a Market Cap of c.£2.5bn then! Look, the way I see it, is that just about anything could happen here. Your £3.70p is not out of the question, albeit an aggressive buy price for sure. Who knows? BUT one thing I do think, is there is no rush to buy here, as the downward forces, for me at least, outway the upward pull. I'm comfortable waiting as I just have a hunch that the dark forces are not done yet.

yes, you may be right Bacchusll, I may regret it and yes again re. the size of the holding but it's the smallest holding that I have in my portfolio; as tech stocks are just too volatile for my liking/blood pressure! But this one has been a super shocker and if I miss the boat and it goes back up swiftly, then I still win. I'm going to gamble on another -30p. I can afford to be really aggressive here as I kind of win either way, as it is an averaging down exercise. Very happy if it goes up and equally I will exploit if it doesn't. Either way, I hope for the very best for all of us - whatever crazy buy/sell/averaging-down scheme that we have in mind here (apart from Shorters)!! ATB

funny you should post that and well remembered! I was, about 15 minutes ago, going to post that it had hit my target figure. Had I just bought, then it would have averaged me down by 60p, which is a lot. BUT I haven't bought. I'm just not at all confident that it will hold on to much above £4 in due course. So, I am going to leave it and wait; as I don't want to lose too much more on this share. Just to be clear - it's not a case of "back in" as I have 1,750 shares currently. It would be to average down only. I am happy to wait for a new lower price. Well not 'happy' at all! But prepared to wait, should that occur!! ATB

but what we do ALL now know, is that this is far from being a Slam Dunk share; as was being portrayed here, just four weeks ago. It remains a high risk share, so expect plenty of volatility up until the next set of formal results. It may be £6 in the New Year - it may be £4. Pays your money you takes your chances. From £10 to £4.71p. Maybe the company should be called Retrace rather than Darktrace?
