it aint rocket science but it IS about the numbers - however you arrive at them. Whichever 'channel' you achieve them by. But until they start generating reportable big numbers, then don't expect too much here. The rest is merely what 'might happen'. No, it's not massive news and 'The City' appears to think the same, judging by today's 1.5p share increase. Surely we have learned something from the last three weeks? guys come on. It's not 'massive news'. It's a £1m contract. If The City thought it was 'massive news' then they would be chasing this up. It's good news yes, but still nothing that values a company at £3.8bn! They need one of these EVERY day! There won't be any rockets to the moon either; those days are done. The City will be much more cautious with DT from here. Just to keep things real. Now a £250m deal would be really good news! Just not a £1m one. It's small fry for such a large organisation.

Yes, £1m+ is not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, but hopefully it will create Client recommendation sign-ups. DT is going to need an awful lot more of these, to justify today's valuation. A quiet week here I suspect; which isn't a bad thing, given the last three. . . .

Steviewonder thanks for your reply and yes it is (hindsight)! But in fairness, I have always sounded a much more bearish/cautious note here, to try to balance out the shocking ramping if nothing else. A major correction was taking place, very clearly, but sadly, many got sucked in and have now lost a lot of money on Darktrace (having sold and crystallised those losses). I genuinely did write here, on numerous occasions, to beware of over-paying at £3+ ago. It was all hype and sentiment and that never finishes well. This is not a FTSE100 company; it’s a ‘Target’! Quicker it’s booted out the better for the company going forwards imo.... ATB ps I have never shorted in my life - Ever. Never will either. I hold at £5.89p here [could be worse, but still not great!] as I was never buying above £6, just as I had nudged others not to. Anyway enough of this company for today. Have an enjoyable day. ATB

You certainly were not the only one Charles. There were a good few others, who massively mis-read how this share was going to move, over the last three weeks. Sadly, some bought into these blind posts (or simple dishonest ramping) and as a result, paying FAR more than they needed to. It was crazy watching people pay north of £7/£8/£9 when they were clearly going to regret it. This was always heading for a major correction; with or without Peel Hunt to expedite proceedings. That said, very decent of you to apologise to those folk. ATB

bobocaco, this is one of seven stocks and my smallest holding (£10k), by quite a long way. For example, I hold 250,000 Lloyds. So, I'm pretty relaxed, as I won't lose too much and conversley I won't make that much either....

That is currently up today, is Darktrace. You could NOT make it up!! Irony of all ironies!!!

Hmmmm. Might not finish in positive territory here today; Friday afternoons usually see a sell-off. FTSE 100 is sliding, so it will be interesting to see if it follows suit. Can't be too far from here now (+/- 30p/40p?). ATB

But I feel that they will put them up next month, simply because the figures are so much worse than those five idiots (that voted it down) expected. Also, I can see a Christmas Lockdown coming too. Inflation figures released today, show it at 4% above where it was this time last year. Time for a hike and no chance they can 'bottle it' again next month.

that this was likely to retrace, perhaps to as much as to £5. So why are folk quite so surprised? It HAD to happen. The rise was totally unjustified. If I can get £7 I'll sell and that will be a £2 profit; very nice. But it is an 'if' as DT has much to prove, now that the IPO party has finished. . . ATB

Clairesmith as you will know I have always sounded a note of caution here - mainly due to the overly excessive ramping, by the Green Box Brigade (I have four of them in the sin bin). However, I'm holding here, rightly or wrong. But yes, it's a risky share and that's what I've always said, since day one of posting here. I really feel for folk like Didi888, who may have lost a lot of money here. He/she was a straight shooter, who I suspect invested little beyond their means here. . .ATB

£10 to £5.60p in a few weeks? I am comfortable it's not an 'over reaction'; but I also appreciate it's each to their own! But at least most of the green boxes are not appearing any more. Happy days
