Must admit the SP is holding up better than I expected after yesterday's extraordinary rise. I do have a concern that the award of the processing plant permit could be a canny manoeuvre by the Slovenian authorities. They know it's useless without the stimulation permit and yet it could weaken our case for damages in court. They can no longer be accused of complete intransigence over permitting and could argue it's not their fault the wells have deteriorated, though I always suspected it was Lebden who lobbed the tooling down PG-11A.

The facts are AST need the stimulation permit and a partner or ideally a surprise settlement with the Slovenian authorities. Those are the very basic facts. If you want to believe the one line posters claiming unfeasible rises or blaming the usual 'Mm games' then go on have a punt. I'm just trying to counter the blatant ramping because it is so cynical and transparent.

T Evans I get the feeling you don't look very deeply into these things, if you did you would know I've been here for years - something I regret obviously. You would also have worked out that SOU have all the attributes that AST (unfortunately) lack - in-country support, major operational partner and funding to a clearly signposted endgame. In sympathy, I won't draw attention to your spelling but will draw a line under this exchange until you post something with some reference to AST's actual business position rather than just cheerleading and belittling folk with something to discuss - go away.

I also wonder if people have actually digested the RNS properly but then there is as much scurrilous ramping around AIM companies as de-ramping. If Slovenia allow us to exploit the resource there is an amazing opportunity here but that is still very much open to debate. I don't want to take the wind out of the sails of fellow long-suffering investors but I don't think I've ever seen a day of posts on any AIM stock so devoid of analysis. Most were from bottom feeders who will disappear as soon as they arrived and I don't blame them for making a quick buck - suspect it will be LTH's huddling together for warmth as usual before long.

I really hope so Scott and congratulations to those that supported the company in the fund raise, I admit I just didn't have the stomach for it.

Really don't want to &*£* on the bonfire here but without the well stimulation permits we're not materially in a better position. Maybe the Slovenian authorities know that the processing plant will never be developed without significantly improved production. I'm trying to find out from AST if there is any hope that the compressor technology could achieve this but I fear that is only a stop gap at best. Show me the stimulation permits and I'll join in the 'woop woop gap up in the morning brigade', until then I would urge caution.

Does anyone know if Buggenhagen can get a tune out of the wells with the compressor whether the processing plant would be viable even if the stimulation permits never turn up?

To be fair Keepto most LTH's invested for Italy and had an incredible break with Morocco, saw it unravel but could not have anticipated the extent of our drop. We find ourselves over-exposed but hopeful of some kind of result, it's not as if we looked at the position of SOU yesterday, invested and started moaning today. Wh0's has every right to call out some inconsistencies in the RNS's and has landed some blows in the last week. There have always been shareholders here who can't accept a fellow investor being critical of the company and I do understand that position it's just not how I look at things. GLA genuine investors.

Don't want to spoil the carnival atmosphere (I wonder why things have been more constructive and cordial this morning....) but what is funny to someone getting paid handsomely to pursue their passion might not be so amusing to an investor with their hard-earned at stake! Seriously though if it was something grim he surely wouldn't have mentioned it.

Ah yes that would be ironic - the one event I really should have got to. Badger I think that was a slightly separate point though it all ties in with the picture we're receiving.

I know what were we thinking! Anybody got more on the context of the JP 'may need to slow things down' comment. I remember it being mentioned but seems particularly pertinent at the moment?

Hawthorn I expect mobilising of equipment in Febuary (RNS'd 7 Jan) to mean mobilising of equipment in February. I think everyone accepted the perforation guns situation but this is entirely different. Again RNS on 28th Jan "procurement for the TE-10 testing programme is nearing completion", over two full months later we don't know where an essential piece of kit is - if you're happy with that fine your call, I'm not. I do understand some investors irritations with these observations but if something doesn't add up there's nothing wrong with discussing it.

Yellows I would take issue with the plural there - I did challenge anyone reacting to the points made to offer an explanation as to why months after the 7 Jan announcement we have no clear ETA on an essential piece of equipment - care to take that up?

Before anyone wades in with paranoid accusations of cowardice and 'why are you invested then' first offer an explanation of why the coiled tubing wouldn't have been mobilised during February as indicated in the 7th Jan RNS. If there is a technical reason I'm happy to be enlightened but if not it's very odd. It can't be an oversight so perhaps the equipment simply wasn't available until now, throw into the mix the vaguery of 'anticipating' its arrival and it all looks very hazy.

No, I think you were grammatically correct the first time SG47. Just one question, from the 'factual' RNS where do you think the coiled tubing is now and when might it arrive?

I agree Woodrow a welcome update but (don't all shout at me at once) I also thought 'anticipating' the arrival was a little odd. It could mean almost anything regarding timelines and I note they haven't outlined a schedule despite the RNS being titled 'Testing Timing Update'.

PNE I don't disagree with the possible scenario you paint but if that is the case why on earth didn't they state at the outset that results would be RNS'd on completion of the full testing programme and make the case to the NOMAD that to declare pre-stimulation results could be misleading? I think they opted to hedge their bets in the RNS's outlining the testing sequence and the inevitable speculation has brought the SP under pressure. I haven't traded any SOU stock for years and have just accumulated so should benefit from this drop but I'd rather see a stable SP at this critical phase and am just bewildered that we still seem to have RNS's so open to interpretation. My mood on this hasn't been helped by some very polite but evasive emails on the issue which does concern me. We're in a situation now in which to announce low pre-stimulation results will lower the SP and not to do so will also lower the SP, I think they've played it badly but hey ho daily movements don't matter, maybe we'll get a pleasant surprise and receive promising results this week but the market is betting against it and we all know SOU.
