Wow, is there a possibility that this is Polygon throwing in the towel? Don't claim to be an expert at this stuff but if they've borrowed shares to short sell and the market goes against them, haven't they got to buy back to return the stock? I think they have a few days to notify the FCA so we should know by the end of the week.

Gam it's fair enough to be cynical, after all I expected an uplift in the SP after assays, then JORC, then Mets assuming all were good. It hasn't worked out that way as we've been punished for the DB raise. There is also an element of logic in the subdued market reaction after the JORC in that the actual value of our proven minerals will only truly count when the metallurgy demonstrates that we have viable economics to mine the asset. LR sounded very chipper in the last podcast which I take as a good sign as we know he is in regular touch with WA.

Almost a month later than last year, it's clearly scheduled to be held after the metallurgical results. Can we read anything into that? I don't know.

Gam - there's no reason a bigger player wouldn't make a move once our minerals are proven as economic, but prior to a mining licence. Those with the deeper pockets have the luxury of sitting back as little old EUZ have carried all the risk, that's why potential rewards for shareholders are still so high. We've taken a big step on de-risking the project with the JORC, next step is the economics of our products, achieving a mining license in a historic mining area with all the benefits it will bring to the region and Spain is a minuscule part of that risk.

RB what is your opinion about Polygon persisting with their short? I can see we have headwinds to increasing shareholder value - IRC, our own debt, bonds, Russian discount but just don't see any significant downside that they are speculating on.

Yes that was a funny one. Good to see the stability today - feels a bit strange though, I think I might have become addicted to the adrenalin of those wild 20% swings.

Freddie I'm sure it will come. I truly believe we've turned the corner and can look forward to growth. The only thing that seriously worries me here is geopolitical tensions with Trump and Putin's recklessness.

Rusty I'm generally not one for conspiracy theories on SP's, you see it all over LSE and half the time it's just PI frustration but I do think the trading in POG since it has been range-bound looks odd. Could it be to do with these big players taking positions? I don't know. I would love to know if anyone has an informed opinion on Polygon. Why are they still short on POG when gold looks so hot. They're out on their own in terms of disclosed positions and apparently diagrammatically opposed to all the institutions who have increased holdings here.

Freddie did you take any in the 5p equity raise? I can't remember how much I threw in now but it got my average down to 20p. I'm hopeful we'll pass that in the not too distant future with POX and a strong GP (shame the need for more concentrate will be a bit of a drag on fully exploiting POX). I've been here so long I suppose you should factor in inflation and the opportunity cost of bank interest rates before jumping for joy if and when you hit your average though!

I was wondering that! It did occur to me that after the RNS on Friday although we had a bit of a spike it did settle back to a reasonable rise which showed some stability. Don't want to speak too soon but the quiet board suggests that maybe the game players have moved on. Fewer vexatious posts = fewer rebuttals = quiet board.

Thanks Oil these favourable peer comparisons are surely going to get more investors on board. Maybe slowly at first before the mets but providing they're solid I can see a landslide of money flooding in. These more cautious investors won't care if they have to pay 0.075 - 0.15 if the story suits their risk profile. Hopefully Friday was the beginning of some stability here at EUZ as the jigsaw starts to come together.

I agree Oil, definitely sensed increased confidence. It was interesting in one of the interviews earlier in the week he mentioned that the Mets process is interactive, so he knows how it is going. We know how important the mets are to the economics, I've mentioned CB's "More importantly" comment before so I was wondering today if the market is actually being quite rational in remaining suppressed until the mets prove it will be economic to mine the stuff. If that is the drag then the long-awaited "Sling-shot" could prove all the more spectacular! Good luck all investors and enjoy the rugby!
