Not sure this election is likely to bring any certainty MFM. Anything's possible Bricks though to date RNS's have tended to come and go without any earth-shattering additional news. I think if a deal was near completion they would wait a reasonable amount of time after the mets because to release them at the same time would be to admit that they were being shared prior to public disclosure. For me when they drop I'll just be looking for good recovery rates and no, or minimal smelter penalties, then we'll know we're really in business.

Maybe something to do with Polygon? If POG keeps rising they'll have to fold at some stage. I suppose much depends on whether they've actually used any borrowed stock to attack the SP yet. Intriguing situation.

I'm not sure what to make of today's trading, doesn't suggest a leak, perhaps a handful of people speculating that Thursday might be a day for good news - didn't the same thing happen last Wednesday? No doubt they'll all scarper if there's no RNS and they realise they haven't made a fortune in 5 minutes :)

I feel a lot more confident after re-watching that video last night. He looks very relaxed in dealing with the question about Cadmium. He talks about 'surety' from the previous analysis for 'deleterious deficits' but as we've always known this very expensive WA metallurgy is a all about getting our own top-notch data. It's really worth looking at other companies reporting met work as there will be impurities but obviously the less the better.

I have seen this before but very interesting to watch again from our current perspective. Firstly I'm impressed how LR almost plays Devil's Advocate to his own dialogue - such a refreshing change from the rampathon you get from most AIM Execs. I just paused around 14:30 because he alludes to something discussed here recently, in that he is publicly talking to the industry as much as to shareholders, hence the use of LinkedIn. I'll do part 2 later.

Cobra the last thing we need is a rampy Exec Dir, that will make absolutely no difference to getting a good outcome here. Come on mets, are they writing them up with a quill on vellum?

That's fair enough Steve I think people are just surprised that your announcement could be counter-productive to yourself. The reason the SP is down here is because there is still risk, if your appetite for that has gone then that's your decision. The reason there will be an immense bounce if the mets are good is basically because as we all know the JORC is the potential prize and the mets are the proof it's mineable. I have been looking through other companies announcements of met testwork and the big takeaway is that it's not just about the recovery levels of your main products but proving that the by-products are manageable. Everyone should be prepared that there will be impurities but the key thing is that they are hopefully below levels that incur smelter penalties. Osisko metals announced a world-class Pb-Zn discovery in Aug described as one of the 'cleanest in the world' but they still had 'deleterious elements' particularly Magnesium Oxide so don't panic when you see which ones show up in our mets. It's inevitable that they will be there we just need to know that they are manageable at the smelter. GLA

What I don't get is why POG with so much going for it (GP, POX), unless their analysts believe like RB that the bondholders will keep this in check while there is always (as with any Russian based company) the possibility of a complete breakdown of east / west relations and a repatriation of assets to the state. Could be happening in the UK soon so why not Russia?

I'm afraid after being on a number of AIM boards over the years my suspicions of certain posters motives are easily roused. I think the only thing I haven't seen is someone invest a significant period of time to build a position of trust and then announce a complete lack of faith. Much easier to try and get the clout quickly with a claim of a big holding, not saying that's what Steve's up to, it's actually fairly unfathomable what his strategy is except expressing frustration with the SP and bailing with losses, perhaps a strangely honest poster for all I know!

Yes strange decision but to be fair I've not seen anything in Steve's postings before today to suggest he's trying to manipulate sentiment, just seems to have lost patience. Funny how you don't see LT regular posters banging on about the size of their holdings though.... it does remind me a little of that fella who claimed a huge holding in August but his sentiment seemed to change on a daily basis. Expect more fun & games after the mets.

Never go quietly do they. Also it seems odd that you're declaring your ongoing sell-off when you still have 71% of your holding to go, the way this stock reacts to the slightest twitch in confidence you could be talking yourself into achieving a worse price for your remaining 50m. Why specifically have you lost confidence in the asset today Steve?

Personally Apple I believe most of the river related flooding is nothing to do with climate change but the way in which we have manipulated rivers to maximise agricultural land plus building in flood plains. Even outside of areas where rivers are supposed to flood the relentless building of roads and housing is gradually reducing the amount of natural soak away and increasing the pace of run off so the water channels can't cope under flood pressure. Of course coastal flooding is another issue and I don't think there's a lot you can do to stop cliff erosion in the east of the country.

Yes and I think the fact that he is encouraging reasonable questions is a good sign. If they were concerned about anything this 'consequence' issue would have been an opportunity to say comms will be restricted to regulated announcements. I blame Lloydy personally :)

I think it's because the word 'consequences' is often used in conjunction with 'grave consequences' and the last time someone told me there would be some I was still at school! Give LR a break he was probably busy and it wasn't well penned but there's no way he's going to hint at something negative in an email. He's probably trying to express that the implications of the met report will be fully explained rather than just a sea of numbers. It something we've asked for on here and I think some by email.

Oil I've always held that CB quote to be highly significant, the mets should be massive and a cue for some serious investors to pile in on low risk. Changes everything and like you said with Rubiales already independently recognised as analogous, nobody should be expecting any nasty surprises. With regard to the by-products I hope people noted my disclaimer that I haven't got the faintest idea if they are economically extractable, sellable to third parties as Bricks mentioned or even there at all, just thought the comment and list of recognised co-elements in Pb/Zn sulphide ore was interesting.

Thanks DJi - I must caution this is complete guesswork but they mentioned 'by-products' in the RNS so I'm hopeful these co-elements could add value. Great stuff from Shatner & Oil, this must be the most well researched board going. Ironically when we get popular again it will be an absolute debacle!

Hopefully not complete Bs Dave :) - while my speculation on specific elements could be awry they have RNS'd "By-products" so there could be something completely new in the mix when the mets land.
