Yes Tricky a full public enquiry is routine after an event like this. I hope it will be a highly uncomfortable experience for these clowns who set the policies. My wife is a nurse and I won't list all the worrying things I hear for a number of reasons but just to give you one example from yesterday in the under-resourced environment of a major city hospital a Covid-19 positive patient was mistakenly placed in a regular ward, albeit very briefly before the blunder was spotted. Human error is a fact of life but trust me this is just one example, it sounds like there is a lack of continuity of policy across the Trusts and with healthcare workers being re-assigned there is widescale confusion. I fear they've made an absolute Horlicks of this, no doubt we'll muddle through and much of it will be forgotten about until the public enquiry which will be an age away when the general public has moved on mentally. There will be more appetite for double-page spreads of street parties in the Daily Mail than boring, unnerving enquiries no doubt.

Yes Bobby I don't think that is relevant to the solvency of the company. The important things right now are more operational positivity from the mets and urgent cost-cutting measures to eliminate the urgency of disposing of the asset. I won't go into Dominic Cummings comments again when against WHO advice the herd theory was to let it run rife without the testing that proved so successful in S. Korea. Absolute deadly incompetence.

Tiptree I did read somewhere that even when it's taken hold testing will be vital to identify hotspots so stretched services can focus resources. Personally I think that once Europe has got on top of it there will be an ongoing demand to monitor the population to prevent resurgences, a kind of grim game of whack-a-mole . Not being flippant just seemed the best analogy.

Sadly there are many companies in other sectors who will survive the crisis but not get paid for many goods and services supplied due to those who won't make it. Novacyt are in an incredible place in that they won't suffer from debtors.

All very good here but it is disturbing how many posters seem to think sales orders will automatically equate to mcap. You could turn over £1B and still make a loss if costs exceeded income. Obviously I don't think that's going to happen here as I'm invested but just steady with the projections. One big positive in these uncertain times is that our customers should be 100% reliable payers, we shouldn't be left with many debtors when this all calms down.

Jacksdad I have to strongly disagree with that. The UK chose not to participate in the EU emergency scheme to procure more ventilators and other essential equipment for ideological reasons as we are in the transition period. The EU was happy to ignore that but the cabinet didn't want to be seen doing anything that would cast a positive light on EU co-operation. Gove has already been caught lying saying that it was a communications error that led us to missing the deadline. That sounds like fudge but worse still it appears that the EU weren't ever holding us to a deadline so basically anti EU lies. Chicanery at it's most despicable #BrexitOverBreathing
