The guy wanted a recommendation for a 50K investment.

My advice would be to make a regular payment, say 1k a month, on an ETF like the FTSE or UK dividend Ishares ETF.

Individual stocks are much more volatile. Of course use an Stocks and Shares ISA and reinvest the dividends.

Look at tradingview weekly, draw a line from the peaks to the troughs, then buy in when near the troughs.

I think ITV is still quite cheap. I'm buying more ITV if & when we see 109 again.
I think of all the other stocks he mentions Next is going up. The others seem a little over bought at the current time on the RSI.

It does make me wonder why the CEO sold a ton of shares at 107. It's madness if they expect 120 again in the next few months. But then, ITV makes trash TV, I assume there aren't a lot of brain cells floating about the place.

The 1 hour RSI is now descending below 70%, my fib est a dip to 108, probably will touch it for a second and go back up. I'll try and buy again in the mid 108s, probably next week. Expect 121 in Jan.

I'm just talking in terms of RSI and MACD.

If I look on trading view, monthly, for the late 20 years, there seems to be a definite trend. It ain't up!

This is all looking very overextended now, I think we are going to see a significant correction in the next few days. I'm expecting 106 to 109 again.

We are very much in the 1hr overbought region. I think this bull run is a bit over extended and we'll see a drop back to 46 today or tomorrow.

Look at the weekly/monthly RSI, we are still in an uptrend I think. The market is consolidating around the 500 price before the next walk up to 600 happens IMHO, that's what the signals say. It can't make a huge jump all in one go. Two steps forward and one back at best.

Saying I bought on rumor is completely wrong. I recently added to my portfolio during this dip.

I have and have been doing a lot of reading about ITV's restructuring and it's plans for the future. Simply Wall Street, Fool and numerous other sources state their income is set to increase, they are currently very undervalued and are set to introduce a div next year which is my main draw. ITV is about 7% of my portfolio, I've done objective research, I have no personal opinions.

I don't care about your personal vendetta regarding the CEO, you SEEM like someone who bought a chunk at a peak, lost their nerve and sold out during a crash, now you're trying to get everyone else to sell out and make a loss to make yourself feel better.

Please keep this objective and don't make false public statements about my position or decisions about which you have no idea.

BTW I bought ITV during the dip last year and sold out for a 40% profit during the summer. ITV have done me well so far!

Tom if you don't like ITV then that's fine, we can take good or bad news, it's just a share price. Perhaps a little less outrage and slinging mud please...

The recent decline has been a good buying opportunity, I don't feel I made enough of it because I a larger down trend, but this seems to be reversing somewhat, and we are coming out of the dip I wish I'd bought more of!

The daily MACD shows sell off has reversed, RSI approaching 50% past old peak, these are good signs that things are bullish ATM.

Great news, and this is a clear reversal! I'm glad I kept my nerve and picked some more up at 105.
I think 111 -114 is on the way by Xmas, I saw a lot selling at 108 and 109 today, I think they'll regret it come next year!

The monthly MACD and RSI do indicate we are coming out a a huge undersold period. I'm going to hold my nerve, hold and buy the post ex div dip all without smoking a single cig!

TEP hit 1450, the CEO sold out before the DIV, I took the div and it hit 1500, I sold out and it's kept on going up. Pretty sure a big drop is coming with TEP, BAT and NG. I just hope nobody bought in at this peak for their sake.

The markets crashed BEFORE to lockdown. Look at 23rd March 20 and 05 Nov 21. Then look at the FTSE 100....
the day the Lockdown comes into effect, there was both times massive bull runs. We should be seeing the FUD now and boredom initiated stock buying when the lockdown hits.
I'm happy with what I have and intend to DRIP and buy the dips, so let them come!
