I was just looking through the Evraz website and noticed on the investor relations calendar there are no upcoming events.
I wondered if the half year report is still set to be published in August or whether this has be postponed / cancelled etc.
I also wondered if you would be able to tell me if Evraz are currently appealing these ludicrous sanctions imposed on them by the UK government? The accusations that the government labelled us with and then the suspension seems highly unfair and unjustified in my opinion.
Or is the company simply keeping its head down, running day to day in the hope that when this heartbreaking war ends the company will be allowed to return to normal operations and unsanctioned.
I appreciate your assistance to my quires in advance and look forward to hearing from you.
Evraz reply,
Kindly note that EVRAZ is constantly negotiating with OFSI and FCA to resume the listing and receive a license for basic needs.
Thus, we encourage our shareholders to contact directly with OFSI and FCA to receive clarification with regards to keeping EVRAZ’ sanction status and listing suspension.
Please, contact OFSI at ofsi@hmtreasury.gov.uk

Anybody know if the H1 results are still being published in August? I can't see anything about it on the Evraz website so wondering if this has now been cancelled as well? GL all
They won't lose their jobs, they will just wear different coloured overalls with a different name on the front of them.
Anyway never mind thay, what is your source in Moscow saying at the moment? Hmmmmm, sorry couldn't help myself
The board DO own shares
The question is how cheap is Strukov offer, now it is in administrators hands, will he only offer enough to pay bondholders off knowing the administrators will accept that? Hopefully not, also fingers crossed other players come to the party to aquire the assets, I feel that's the only way shareholders will see some sort of return, if not Strukov can aquire on the cheap
The main shareholder of the gold mining company Petropavlovsk, Konstantin Strukov, has applied for the purchase of its assets. This was reported by Kommersant on Thursday, citing a source.
According to Kommersant's source, Konstantin Strukov, who owns 29.19% of the company, as well as UMMC, which is the company's largest creditor, submitted applications for the purchase of Petropavlovsk's assets.
On July 12, it was reported that Petropavlovsk received an offer to purchase assets and one notice of interest. The company also said it is in talks.
Petropavlovsk is one of the largest gold mining companies in Russia. The main enterprises of the company ("Pioneer", "Malomyr", "Albyn") and the Pokrovsky Autoclave Hydrometallurgical Plant are located in the Amur Region.
Nathan, I don't think I have agreed with anything you have said so far on this board, until now......
As for Tomski, some are on here heralding as a king, when really he has been on this board belittling and joking about people losing money "whilst he was sunning himself in Thailand", he is a joke, plain and simple.
Nobody invested here because of the **** Nathan dribbles onto the board, if they did more the fool them. Just give people a break rather then I told you so, you wasn't here before, why are you now? It was a punt, some people had a gamble, chill out and enjoy the sun, rather then posting on a board you have no interest in, how sad.
With your reply in mind, am. I correct in understanding the board are consideing individual assets as opposed to the whole company. Surly the POX hub (which Polymetal previously was rumoured to be interested in) could be sold to cover the debts leaving us with a company and mines and a way to move forward as opposed administration and potentially liquidation.
POG reply,
?It is too early to speculate what might happen - we are only at the stage where we have applied to the High Court to appoint the Administrators, who will take control of the company’s assets and affairs, if / once their appointment is approved. Their job is to preserve the Company’s assets and maximise the return to creditors, who will be paid out of any funds realised after the costs of the administration. The Administrators have a statutory obligation to act in the general interest of all creditors. Following their appointment, the administrators will provide an update on the situation to all stakeholders.
Your final paragraph is understandable, I just wonder why would POG would not want this information out, regardless of not having too!? It could potentially increase the share price, increase interest within other companies to our assets and hopefully increase potential returns to all investors, not only bond holders but shareholders too.
POG reply,
As I said, when you have confidential commercial negotiations, where the goal posts move around, it is not prudent to announce anything that is not concrete. ?I also think there's a misunderstanding - as we have mentioned, any sale is with regards to the interest in the operating subsidiaries located in Russia and not the listed shares
1 - in today's RNS it states the company has received an offer, and it is in discussions with another company. My question is why wasn't shareholders informed of this previously? Isn't that price sensitive information?
2 - what $ amount was the offer? If it is not price sensitive information knowing what the offer was would be appriciated.
POG reply,
The Company previously announced that one of the realistic options is the sale of its interest in its operating subsidiaries, a process as a result of which may mean there is uncertainty as to what returns (if any) may be secured for bond or equity holders.
Discussions with potential suitors are fluid, ongoing and also confidential, hence no announcement with any specifics was made. The other thing to keep in mind is that the discussions focus on the disposal of the interest in the operating subsidiaries as opposed to the ordinary shares of Petropavlovsk PLC.
Lastly, an announcement is only required in the event that an offeree company is the subject of sustained market rumour and speculation in relation to a possible offer, which is not the case here.
Just a couple of queries if you I have as I'm really struggling to understand how the company with net assets of $1.6B cannot sell enough assets to cover a $600M debt (total). Surly Chinese, Indian and in todays news Brazilian investors are chomping at the bit to take over distressed Russian assets owned by a UK Plc due to our incompetant government. It seems like the sanctions imposed on us are currently benefitting Russian banks who now have the opportunity to claim all our assets at a cheap price through no fault of our own.
POG reply,
A company that is able to run a mine well in, say China or Brazil, might not be able to do such a good job in a completely unfamiliar jurisdiction. What would be their edge? Geopolitical risk is big on the agenda. As for the sanctions, while the Company is not under sanctions, sanctioning Gazprombank has, indirectly, put us in a very difficult situation, where we cannot sell our gold to them as we did previously, nor can we pay interest on the term loan and the RCF.
Question, in an RNS dated 22nd April the company released the following statement within the RNS,
§ Debt principal outstanding as of 31 March 2022 was US$624.4m (31 December 2021: US$590m).
In yesterday's administration RNS it says net liabilities were $1.7B.
I don't really understand the difference between debt (22nd April) and net liabilities (yesterday) and also how could this value of increased by $1.1B in 2 1/2 months??????
Any thoughts people as non of it adds up in my tiny little mind, GL all
Well no, Im just going on what you posted on here, now was you lying ya cheeky little rascal.
Also you posted you was on some Thai beach for weeks on end living off your POG profits, I bet you lied about that too. Why don't just dissappear from this board, do everyone a favour
Does he @#*%, he's a genuine troll. He claimed to have invested in IAG at £1.50odd, but never posts on their board. Just a troll, nothing more
Stop gloating at people who have lost money you utter di*khead, that it what I'm saying you pathetic excuse for a human being.
And I'm not angry, far from it, this was a punt and I spun the dice, win some, lose some. Still hold a smidgeon of hope so fingers crossed but that's all. Please just go away, your gloating is not helping people who are genuinely distressed.
Yes but even us holders knew he talked as much ****e as you
Why didn't the BOD inform us of the offer?
Surly this is price sensitive information and anything above $600M would leave something for shareholders.
I think us PI's deserve to know more about the above before the administrators are called in IMO
No it is not!
Rather then all the trolling and laughing at people losing their money "because they didn't listen to you", oh and also "I told you so" could we possibly have a worthwhile discussion about the current situation so that people who "Are" invested in POG can gather more information.
As tuba discusses, in the RNS it states we have $1.6B in assets, the companies debts are approx $600M, surly selling the assets via administrators should bring in more then $600M,hence leaving something for shareholders?
Also the company has received an offer? My question is why wasn't shareholders informed of this and what was the price? Surly this information is price sensitive and shareholders deserved to know.
Keep the faith everybody, oh and cross your fingers and toes, apart from that get out and enjoy the sun, enjoy your day. GL all
What's your moral standard?
Below Zero!
Agreed Redinjun, all for the sp moving but let's keep it real, don't need the ramping bullsheet, just gives pest like Tomski-dmark more ammo.
Hopefully the truth does the talking and this flies high on the BOD getting something positive done
Any idea what's going on Tomski, thought it was 0.5p by the weekend lol.
Lets hope for all us holders this is the start of a weekend of positive news before boom next week. We all deserve it for keeping the faith whilst Tomski-dmark laughed at people's investments dropping
