To say that the share price isn’t going to drop if a no deal, suggests that the recent sp rise has nothing to do with the potential sale.

Hope the sale goes through or it could be sometime before we see this sp again. Anyhow, not long to wait now.

Nice to see the sp given a modest boost this morning. If they can’t agree a price and no takeover, this is going to drop like a stone.

Even with a base £8 and 40-50% uplift will an offer of £11.50-£12.00 be enough for the big investors ? Hope so.

Hopefully the sale goes through and we can all capitalise a healthy gain.

Shareholder equity is equal to a company's assets minus its debt. Or is it closer to 1.1-1.2 million?

The major shareholders will have a big say in setting the price. The fact that discussions are ongoing with two potential bidders is very positive.

Plenty guessing at a potential bid price…I’ll leave that to the experts🥴 The debt will play a factor but interesting times ahead.

Thanks for the clarity. That would explain the downward pressure on the sp at the moment. If EQT are buying ( seem to be) they can’t afford to let the sp rise.

I have to agree with much of your post. Sizeable debt, poor management and a property portfolio that needs to be verified.

Suspect we will have to wait for the sp to rebound over time or there maybe a suitor in the wings but this deadline was never going to force an offer.

Nice profit. I’m just hanging around anticipating that an offer around the £11.00 will be accepted but it’s early days.

Another of my holdings is hopefully going to be bought by a private equity company and the sp has risen on the strength of this after an initial unknown bid was rejected and the bidder is actively buying at the moment.

Hoping that the lack of sp movement isn’t a sign of lack of interest here.

Could it be that Spire by setting a date merely want to put any perspective purchase to bed one way or the other and get on with business?

I reckon the drop is just a result of the tariff/ Greenland chaos.

I see the ‘naked trader’ has held 6 positions in SPI over the last couple of years from what I can see, selling his last at a small loss in Dec 25.

Not to say that he hasn’t bought back in as I am not a subscription payer so not privy to his very latest buys and sells.

The only point I would disagree with is the possibility of me being ‘smart.’ But thanks anyway. Been here forever and try not to fall in love with any of my shares, so was happy to take profit at £10 during the last drop, buying in again in Nov 24.

Reckon EQT have been sounding out Oxb during the £5’s, £6 ‘s and £7’s, and discussions are ongoing, so they can’t be that far away from a final offer.

Agree that Oxb has a great future so happy to hold if no deal is accepted. We are all guessing at the moment, but that’s half the fun🤪
