Hi Kern,
Can’t help watching this even though I’m out. Still no news on the Astra vaccine contract so I presume it is dead in the water. The lack of any new contracts can’t be helping either. As for Aviva it is my largest holding by far now so hoping for a decent return.
Vernski…No, the figures are still messed up across the board.Halifax and many others have not updated yet but if you divide your overall cost by the number of shares you will get your new share price. Halifax have said they will be updating when the consolidation is complete. I assume they are giving themselves until the 31 May 22. They said it should be done automatically but if not to ring them and they would do it manually.. covering all bases there. It is annoying but should sort itself next week.
Optimist… with the Halifax and got my Divi yesturday afternoon and b shares money late last night. Strange you have not got your Divi. Might be worth contacting them as in all the years I have been with them I have always got the Divi on the day. Did you look in the dividend folder?
AllAtSea… just chatting to Halifax. Apparently this will be rectified once the capital return is completed ! If it does not rectify automatically they say it can be done manually. He did not give a date so could even be the 31st when the cap return is officially to be completed.
So much for contacting Halifax earlier and being told that the return would be on or after the 31st May and getting spun a load of fluff by someone who doesn’t know their ar+e from their elbow. Money just in. All good.
Chatting online with the Halifax and got the stock reply “The shares have been consolidated and the cash rebate is due on or after the 31st :)”
Not sure the agent was fully engaged or fully aware of what was going on. Amazing the time difference with different companies for divi’s and the return of capital.
Not so sure the new appointment is going to make a difference ! Alexander holds no ordinary shares in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") but has options over an aggregate 1,750,000 Ordinary Shares that were granted to him previous to this appointment to the Board, and in respect of his consultancy services provided to the Company.
One batch of options were granted in Sept 20 so he has effectively been around for quite some time as a consultant. Time will tell.
I would consider averaging down if there was a sniff of good news but don’t want to throw good money after bad.. a real slow burner and the candle is getting smaller.
It’s done and dusted now. The sp will find its new level and the b shares can eventually be reinvested or not. The sp is bound to rise with the Ordinary Divi payment next week.
I’m hoping it doesn’t go too far either way over the coming weeks to enable reinvestment. G.l all whatever you decide..
Maybe just give it a week or two!
Worth averaging down? Surely there must be good news re a contract or two in the next few week that should lift the sp again.
As you say it’s a bad day at the office all round. Long term holder so will sit tight, roll the dice and see what happens. We will have a reasonable idea where this is going in a week or two. Sure it’s only money….
