I find it hard to contemplate a reality whereby BHP, having suffered a very public bloody nose (assuming they don't up their offer over the next two hours) put in a speculative bid for us (which let's be honest isn't going to be much more than 25p) when there is a real risk of ending up in a bidding war with Jiangxi. Henry won't be able to afford to lose twice in quick succession which would lead to reports of BHP massively overpaying for an undeveloped mine in Ecuador if they end up going toe to toe and we get anything near what Mather considers fair value. It would look desperate on his part and I think he's too risk averse to make the first move here.

I think that's the long and the short of it Fort. With funding secured and a healthy pipeline of news in the offing, the next few weeks might be the last time to buy this share in single digits. Fingers crossed.

This two IPAs business is the thing that sticks out the most. Before we were told the new IPA would take the place of the previous one. So this is new news in some respect. I maintain that any buyer will be acutely aware that SOLG is $162m short of what it committed to spend on exploration at Cascabel. This was a serious misstep by former mgmt IMO and is inevitably holding the process up and weakening our hand in negs.

Addicknt, RE your 7.45 post - SOLG state they expect the exploitation contract to be finalised before the end of the financial year, so by June 30th.

Isn't it relatively standard for companies to state where the loan has been secured from and to give specifics on repayment terms? What interest are we paying etc. Bizarre.

Fort, the bigger players have been securing supplies of metals like lithium for several years now by doing deals directly with miners to do exactly that - cut out the middle men. Much easier than buying and operating an actual mine.
