Long term holders will remember a couple of posters who terrorised this board for several years. Anything positive at all was attacked endlessly. The posters disappeared of course although may now be using other accounts.

Good grief. You make it sound like the end is nigh for Ceres. It is just a play on words and I am fully aware that he stated the market has taken the view. If you are looking for instant profit you may need to trade elsewhere. I have no problem in waiting this out. It is clear the traders have been caught short. Long term holders remain just that.

That contradicts what I have heard Bilbs, i.e retrofit is problematic in alot of old houses. Time will tell.

I know an engineer who works for a heat pump company and he advises, as said below, that installing heat pumps in new builds can work but that retrofit is either prohibitively expensive or just not feasible. Frustrating to see these being touted as 'the way forward' without tabling the issues.

Just been reading an article in the Telegraph.

Labour-run Westminster council has unveiled plans which could mean residents with EVs may be charged for parking permits.

It goes on to say Vehicles with larger batteries are to pay more because they have a higher carbon footprint, take up more space and cause more wear and tear to the road.

Under the current rules owners of EV or plug in hybrids only have to pay for the first ten minutes to obtain the maximum stay in the bay which is commonly four hours. Cost for this could be under one pound.

The new proposals could scrap the rule and parking in the same zone could increase from one pound to eighteen pounds.

The council said the existing charging structure was unsustainable with the rapid growth in EVs.

The permit prices were reported as being in the range 40 to 80 pounds per year

Interesting indeed. The charges could catch on.
