The legal case seems flimsy at best.

"BPC told investors that it understands that the Bahamas government will oppose the application, meanwhile, BPC intends to apply to the court to be heard as a person affected and to oppose the application."

"Attorney General Carl Bethel also confirmed to Guardian Business yesterday that the government plans to oppose the application for judicial review, and said that process is currently underway."

The financial benefits of a strike need to be considered.

The $5 Billion figure above would be much more now with oil at almost $50 barrel.

If there is a strike at P1 then it follows:

The Bahamas own PM has said they are legally bound.

Looking forward to the week ahead, hopefully in the coming weeks we get news of a big strike. Good news for us and the Bahamas.

Would it be fair to assume you looked into share ownership ? Because I wonder how many Bahamians feel, they should have the opportunity and feel put out by the fact that they are unable to access shares easily ?

The AG claimed the process is currently underway, so yes a judge would need to decide whether or not their is grounds for JR.
The bar is set pretty high so the evidence will need to be pretty compelling.

Judicial Review will only take place if the application is accepted, and as far as has been reported the AG has claimed the BG are going to oppose it as are BPC as an interested party. The PM of the Bahamas has also said they are legally obliged to allow the drill to go ahead.
