Joaung1, the UK is a miniscule consumer of oil for cars vs global consumption. Your scenario is too narrow to really influence policy for an oil major imo. Perhaps by 2050 or 2060, the rest of the world will follow, and by then it will be a different carbon free source that powers the world. For now, it remains the case that oil is king of global trade and people movement. Imo

Have come a few days prior to results - in some cases this has helped soften the fact results have been less good than hoped, but has helped the SP stay firm. If there are no leaks or announcements in the next 48 hours, i will feel even more reassured, the results are meeting or exceeding expectations. IMO. ATB
