Bash, very real possibility that this scenario will play out as it is the reflection from Asos. I too am expecting a revenue dip but greater profitable margin. However I'm not too sure about any dip as if return rate is better and US sales and margin improve, this can swiftly turn upwards and getting a meaningful share purchase will be difficult until big boys have their share to close out shorts.

All the chatter about shorts is a load of hot air. Shorts are half of where they were a year ago. Trouble is the sentiment has been beaten down by repeated news items with a slant to negativity, macro factors and some missteps by the management team. Will turn however is my view. Let's hope tomorrow is the start. Atb

Yup - i added to my BOO shares by 10% earlier in the week and another 10% today at 31.77........we shall see if this was foolish or not next week. ATB

Hi Nomad, agree oil prices will be a significant influence on inflation but on the other hand commodity prices are dropping otherwise due to the Chinese slowdown providing a counter balance.

Oil is being propped up artificially by opec and who knows what will happen here. Atb

Holding THG is not too great for my emotional well being, up and down like the proverbial knickers!

I've avoided posting much due to the board being somewhat swapped with unhelpful back and forth.

Anyway pending results, I've increased my holding by 10% this morning buying at 31.50. Imo, this current SP is grossly undervaluing a company with very limited debt compared to peers. Forward outlook for inflation is good and the massive US investment should start to payback.

Shein is a threat no doubt, but the world is waking up to the problems with buying from Shein. I suspect the tide here is about to turn.

Next 2 years will be interesting.

Kidge, surely a 'large holding' is dependent on overall investment portfolio size. For someone investing 10k - a 5k investment in a share is a large holding?

As long as one is holding shares in THG, we are in the same hood! Size is irrelevant IMO.

DarkEnergy, thank you for the response. I am a holder with an ave of 1140. I accept your assessment of the recovery period and bumps to come in relation to household financial strain and potential lag time. What i will say in response is the market is usually ahead of the game and this will all be factored into current SP. Unless there is an unexpected major event (China invading Taiwan, Putin being desperate enough to use tactical nukes etc), the SP of house builders IMO will recover well before house buying ticks up in a meaningful fashion. All in my opinion of course - but my investment is made and i am working on a timescale of 2-3 years and feel quite secure. ATB.

Has had a long run at getting this company to fire. Despite his 'fugazi' pronouncements, the city seem to be vindicated by the results/lack of strategy.

MM has become a rich man on the back of the IPO and this is well earned as he did all the hard work getting THG to the size it is now.

Moving forward probably requires a different skill set. I hope MM either learns the skills needed, hires someone who does know how to run the company (and listens to them) or walks away with a fat payout from PE.

I am holding due to the SOP valuation and at some point there will be a revision. I fear if MM continues without learning lessons or changing, this value realisation will take years. Which will be very disappointing. IMO and ATB.

SP has barely budged with the interest rate hold decision. I was expecting a better response but hopefully this is the beginning of the recovery. I've managed to accumulate a large holding for me and while still underwater slightly i feel very optimistic in a couple of years, this will be a very handy price.

This is depressingly poor. When will MM learn that he is ceo of a listed company and thg is not privately owned by him?

My own fault for not selling above 100. Long hold now it seems if this sort of garbage is the best response they can muster.

S..t show with MM playing the main role and direction. Given he controls most of the 65%, us PIs have to risk going with the flow or bail.
