RE: Leak?19 Apr 2023 23:14
Wolf at this stage its a proposal needing court approval, it is not decided or is the definitive and only plan or done deal. Yes the RNS has been presented many times saying same old (red or false flags up to us to decide) yet it’s not the decision of the company. There are other solutions here and court has to look and take into account fairness to all here. I’m in no way naive here but seems to me that there is much more existing to be discussed and looked at, than only one proposal that sweeps away current equity holders. It is not done and dusted & we do not have to all accept this as our only fate. The court will need to weigh up decision with fairness for all parties and creditors may now even be minded to backtrack now more time has elapsed here and the box office is starting to kerching nicely in par with pre covid years.
Now like many others here I think there’s a lot to gain than to perhaps lose on one of the biggest global cinema chains! On the point re shorts I disagree entirely the books still need to be balanced and for eg any losses borne of stocks all have rightful owners to be returned to or in fact for gains if it doesn't go ahead. C11 doesn't stop stock trading or alter this even or clear them of this obligations. The shorts when they took out would never have envisaged a situation like this and to my mind they are on a very sticky wicket right now either way!IMHO
