Christian Taylor-Wilkinson was appointed as a Non Executive Director on 15th Sep 2023 (check the RNSs tab on this page)

Christian took over when Mohd Najib Bin Abdul Aziz " reluctantly tendered his resignation from his position as Independent Non-Executive Chairman" for "personal reasons" according to the same RNS dated 15th September.

However reading further is does say that:

"As a result of Najib's resignation, the Company is pleased that Independent Non-Executive Director, Christian Taylor-Wilkinson, has agreed to act as interim Non-Executive Chairman until such time that new NEDs are appointed and the board makes its final decision on the Chairman role."

So Christian is and was only an interim NED - and his replacement was always on the cards.... maybe some glimmer of hope... but the way the most recent RNS was worded... does make it sound like he is being forced out rather than a natural normal transition

I dunno just grasping at straws here... not much else to do in this total black out stage we are at lol.....

I just hope Tang/Polo have a replacement lined up - to take his place and we can carry on

I’m sure any parties with huge shareholdings will have been taken care off behind closed doors.

Either cash buy out or promised shares in a newly formed company don’t worry about them… we are NOT in the same boat as them at all.

Private shareholders are ALWAYS at the bottom of the food chain.

As for standing up to tang now … it’s water tight …

If polos request gets refused …. Polo (tang) simply deny GCM the £300k loan and GCM go bust anyway!

It’s done… water tight … Tang ain’t an amateur at this.

The benefit is simple

Write off all existing shares

Kick out annoying shareholders (and clearly board members too according to the last RNS) which then allows freedom to agree to any deal favourable to Tang and his friends without asking for shareholder approval

Once it’s all done and a newly formed” Phulbari Coal” company is created from the ashes and green light is given …. Relist on Aim as a totally new company at £10 a share and raise billions to fresh eagerly awaiting shareholders …. Job done

Tang will get away with it

He will be seen as keeping GCM going as long as possible (polo did keep us going even tho we made zero revenue)

And Tang will be seen to have brokered the deal that finally

Got the green light … a few eggs were cracked along the way but this is game… no one will care about us as they all jump aboard the next gravy train and we can sit here and cry all we want. And forget about any legal battles lol we won’t have a let to stand on against these professionals

Not much else to say really ….. I think we all knew this was going to happen as soon as Polo was delisted my focus shifted to TANG…..

He forced a delisting of polo … which gave him complete control …. Then took advantage of a crippled GCM.

We are now stuck between accepting polos/Tangs demand and removing our Non executive which means the Nomad will resign and we are delisted giving Tang free reign to make all the deals he wants with GCM/China and Bangla without us shareholders in the way.

And I am sure there are deals being done with equally currupt China / Tang and Bangla on how to carve up a newly formed “Phulbari Coal Company”

if we DONT accept Polo/Tangs demands … they will just refuse the £300k and GCM will go bust anyway …. It’s a LOSE / LOSE situation for us ….. what a kick in the teef.

There is no doubt this was the plan all along.

And the worst part is …Once we are delisted Bangla will mine Phulbari …. Deals will be signed in the Billions and a new Coal company will be created and listed with a small group making a tidy fortune ….. sadly we long suffering shareholders won’t see a penny. This is the facts we are now seeing. This is how the stock market works.

Keep an eye out for “Phulbari Energy” or similar being listed once this is all over at, ironically, £10 a share :( , mark my words.

What a horrible and sick way to end … being locked out just as green light is given.

Oh come on… I think it’s clear we all agree that Bangla is in desperate need for own coal and GCM are in the best position it has been in years with getting this green light. There is no doubt there otherwise we would have jumped ship prior to suspension.

But the facts are also …. polo delisted, GCM suspended. suspension delayed … why ? We are waiting on £300k loan from polo … who is owned by the same person who owns GCM… TANG ! So what really is the issue here ?

Since the polo delisting 100% agree that Tang is equally a concern for us as Hasina

I invested here many years ago on the belief that mining own coal and energy security was the only and best solution for everyone and yes for us to make some money.

But seeing how polo shareholders were just dumped like that made me realise the same can happen here too … and this “suspension” just feels like we are closer to going the polo way than ever.

How extremely frustrating that this could finally get the green light … and us shareholders are kicked to the curb!

And before anyone says we are in with the big shareholders and investment houses don’t be delusional …. They always get special deals somehow … private shareholders do not.

Oh well one more week to go !

From a private shareholder point is Polo now completely dead or is it also suspended and there may be a chance private shareholders get any money back ?

Just read this … this deal is the worst of its kind worldwide.
Even the land purchased to generate the electricity that is then sold back to Bangladesh has been taken from poor villagers and they have been denied access to clean running rivers.
Hasina is ok to pay over the odds for this imported energy rather than mine her own coal on the grounds of what ? Standing Morally by the poor innocent people … total BS as that is the exact opposite of what is going on here!

The one thing with this share has always been the absolute obvious answer to all the problems is to mine our coal…. But here we are … still being blocked by Hasina with no legit reason…. I’m afraid our regular poster Phulbari is absolutely right …. While that currupt woman and her crooners are in power this mine ain’t happening.

It’s insane that we are sub 5p with all this news flying around …. But the fact is we are!

In the 12 years I’ve been here I have never heard so much positive news … and confirmation that GCM are in direct talks with the gov about our project !
Yet here we are sub 5p !???

Totally agree , add to that the west have finally admitted the they owe the poor countries a carbon debt, and without addressing this issue there will be no movement in being carbon neutral
But they can’t agree what that cost is … as it could end up being unlimted amount of money !

2006 is a long time ago and those riots were not caused by Asia energy. Infact it was the gov police that pulled the trigger.

The uk is opening coal mines and re starting fracking !
Ww3 is about to kick off and there is a global energy crisis, looming worldwide inflation, end to an era of low interest rates and a depression and these lot think they have a cats chance in hell to afford importing gas or coal !? LOL

Hasina has a free pass to not worry about green issues (the rest of the world aint right now and besides let the rich west sort this mess out later - if we have time)
Energy is where it’s at now…. And more importantly Energy Security !
Germany is already starting energy rationing … I’ve heard from work colleagues in Poland that the gov is cutting off electricity at weekends to office blocks !! (Nightmare for us in IT we need constant power for server rooms etc)
What state is Bangaldesh gonna be in !?
This mine is probably the most researched in history first by BHP who had it before us and then GCM to jump through every hoop ! We are even investing in a solar farm for the future ! Backed by China
What more they want?
What good is a few rice paddy fields if the lights are off and you can’t cook the grains ! And no schools no jobs no investment no money !! No money for national health care !!

The current price is just insane compared to what it would have been a few years back with even the mere mention of the word “Phulbari” or “open pit” in any press
Let alone the fact they are ADMITTING they are discussing mining it !
And they have clearly stated OPEN PIT is the way forward.
We are back sat at the table here… with a very strong poker hand !!
Back in the “good ol days” this would have been £3.56 a share by now with all this news out lol

And don’t forget the price AND demand for coal is off the charts !
The green issue has been put on hold around the world for now … this is the golden opportunity we and the Gov need to get this over the line!

Why is this still sooo cheap
Yes I know it’s a total binary bet … it’s still yes or no
But the odds are starting to stack up in our favour … dare i say more than at any point in the last 12 years !!!
We have a nomad (lol)
We have huge Chinese backers
We have cash to last us a while
They now need us more then ever

Reading that now after all these years … how much they demanded and held back such a mega project that benefits the whole Country… how many people have lost lives , opportunity and the right to basic human needs of power and jobs … because 3 youths were shot ? By police ! NOT by Asia Energy ! And the were rioting violently ! What for ? Who told them to riot ? What was behind that ?

It’s insane this project has been stalled for so long!
Anu and his mob need to be brought to trial !

Anyway the more he gets riled up it may be signs that things are moving forward :)
