In July HC mentioned developing new products in addition to growing existing brands (see comments below). This got me thinking. Our Board member Ross Andrews is also chairman at Integumen (SKIN) and previously HC has mentioned looking at skin and/or acne cream. As SKIN do skin testing etc and have links with CBD companies etc I wonder if HC might be using Ross's contacts. I would if I was in his position!

or conversely go the other way with Blackwoods and make it a proper premium brand. At the moment it's a bit of a halfway house between the cheaper end and the higher end so has struggled to gain an USP.

yep goes ex div 1st thing in the morning. Price will drop accordingly as essentially $33m has been 'lost' from the company - so expect a reduction of c11-12p immediately (amount dependent on exchange rate).

RNSs are required when there is price sensitive information. If the company is releasing a RNS for a 'small - medium size' contract then that says to me there are no bigger ones signed or on the horizon.
If this contract was not material it could have waited to release this info with a forward looking statement with the interims, which are less than 2 weeks away.
Just IMHO - lets see what the numbers tell us

it may be a different company in name and strategy but it continues to be loss making (by a considerable margin) and continues to require placements to 'keep the lights on'.

It has cash in the bank (following 2 placements) so has to deliver now - delaying the interims to the last minute isn't a positive sign IMHO

yes good purchase and company is doing what is said it would, expanding across Europe.
No mention when Glasgow site will be operational, hopefully conversion from hotel to hostel will be done in stages so say 100 of the 200 bed capacity will be available in say 3 months, rather than 6.

Would be good to get a financial/trading update too before end of Sept as this share seems very unloved and almost ignored.

Boots now £239 and there are 3 reviews (all very positive). Slowly moving in the right direction - however maybe not fast enough

Iron replacement market worth c£2b a year and STX are targeting 10% of this. As mentioned it's a royalties model so maybe 40% of that to STX so maybe £80m a year.

Chinese market will need additional clinical trials so this will limit any upfront payment if/when a deal is signed so for me it's the US deal that will be the short term price driver for STX.
We know CS is keen to get this over the line as he has previously stated that a day's delay is a day's lost revenue, but clearly it needs to be the right deal too. Q4 was previously stated so I'm expecting November will be an interesting period for STX

Re-listened to July interview with KC and HC and all was quite positive - c£1.5m profit and healthy cash position. It was also mentioned we have 550k online users (assume this is worldwide and includes all brands, not just ST) which is impressive.
Based on this profit the current p/e is 7.3 which seems very low, even with retail sector being held back due to Brexit concerns.

2020 is projected to generate profits of £2.4m which seems quite achievable based on an extra 9 months in Boots alone.
Add to that some growth in Roots, C+L and Prolong these figure look quite conservative IMHO.

A forward p/e of only 8 gives us a share price of 133p (c80% above current) and p/e of 9 gives 150p a share (almost 100% uplift).

Also re-looked at 2018 financials and our net asset position is £9.8m as we have no debt - and company is currently valued at £11m. Similarly I noticed IDP bought an additional 2% of ST from owners (so now owns 93%). Cost of this 2% was £209k - so this values ST at over £10m alone (before Boots roll out etc).

Hoping for some positive comments re trading in July and August 2019 next week too as we should smash H1 2019 figures this year (ST is in 2,300 stores v 780 this time last year).

good YE numbers with both revenue and PBT slightly ahead of previously upgraded guidance.

With a current market cap of £60m and PBT of 8.5 that's a P/E of only 7.

Surely it should be at least 10 - so company valued at £85m - price per share c90p

Ask is currently 0.044p so c£44k at current price.

You may need to buy it in chunks as unlikely there is that much in free float.

Also, the larger the purchase the wider the spread so they may push price up a bit.

The rum market is indeed growing - might exceed Gin by 2020.

However, for balance Redleg is in the spiced / flavoured category which is a sub-set of the wider rum market.

Still a good place to be though.

IMHO if a bigger competitor wanted RedLeg with the low share price it could just buy the whole company - even at a 50% premium that's c£7m. CEO/Chairman can say what he wants if a formal offer comes in it will need to be presented to shareholders. None of the Board hold significant shareholding in DIS so couldn't stop it.
RedLeg is predominantly UK focused - a bigger company could roll this out to a wider audience

it's worth £5m because it has revenues of £2m and profit of c£160k, neither of which are growing.

It has 1 quality brand, not several.

the recent voxmarket chat with CEO was quite a good listen. Lots seems to be happening and the recent board share purchases appears to confirm this

stumbled across a website measuring website traffic so checked a few IDP products.
For the 3 months (May to July 2019) the AVERAGE monthly number of visits (not unique) were:

skinnytan.co.uk - 154k
skinnytan.com (USA) - 13.5k
Rootsdoubleeffect - 11.5k
C+L - 9.5k
Prolongdevice.com - 22k

Prolongdevice.uk and smilingdxxk did not register as less than 5k.

For me the interesting one was Prolong in US as 22k is not insubstantial. On closer inspection you can see where the hits are generated from. 52% came from a Ladbible link, and 15% from a prematureejaculation link.

If we could get say 200 sales a month for Prolong (now sold in US, UK and Oz) this would equate to c£500k revenue and potential £250k profit as market up is so high. This should be making a reasonable contribution to IDPs bottom line.

I will be interested to see numbers and plans for Prolong in the Sept 24th update

personally I do think the product is viable and has multiple uses that are needed now - improvement to gut health, lower cholesterol (statins don't work) and reducing sweet carvings/sugar replacement.

However, the deals whilst keeping costs down leave all the investment & marketing to the buying company with minimal penalties for delays etc. Surely if you sign an exclusivity you would expect to pay a fee for this? How many upfront fees has OPTI got out of the 44 deals? This means companies can pick and choose when and how to develop - so revenues are almost out of OPTIs control.

Similarly when say Cadbury's have reduced their sugar content by 30% without any need for opti products you realise there are alternative and potentially cheaper options out there.

I asked Caroline (recently sacked Marketing manager) why Go Figure etc wasn't in say a Holland & Barrett and she said stores like that charge you for shelf space (I presume by lowering purchase price rather than an upfront charge) and that wasn't OPTI's route ATM. This is partly as OPTI doesn't have the money to take these short term hits for long term gains. Similarly when statins were proved to be of limited effectiveness where was the OPTI PR machine kicking in and explaining there is a cheap, quick alternative??

I do still think this will come good but may take another year or two before we see substantial revenues to justify a c£50m company. All IMHO!
