Working capital for anp...current assets - current liabilities = £7.9M...excellent for small cap. Working cap per pound of sales is: 7.9M / 23.5m from yearly total sales = .336 = 33.6%. This is good as anything above.25% is good imho.

Quite possibly the perfect company as an small mcap from a financials point of view: current ratio (current assets/current liabilities) = 2.4 = over twice as many assets than liabilities quick ratio (current assets - inventories)/(liabilities) = 2. the quick ratio test is a reflection of the liquidity of a business - the higher the better (up to a point) and even in this test of liquidity ANP has twice as many assets than liabilities. will do more analysis later!

big problem with trade receivables is impacts on how long (if at all) it takes for a company to receive payment. In GNGs case (although I wrote last night that its got a high working capital per share of 53p), it is very slow in getting payment for its services. To calculate how long it takes a company to receive payment, firstly we need to find receivable turns. this is revenue / average receivables = 9648000/20537000 = 0.47. So 0.47 is the NUMBER of times GNG collects its payments in a year - to see how many number of days it takes for GNGs customers to pay their bills to GNG, simply divide 365 (days in year) by 0.47 = 776 days for GNG to collect payment from its customers. so just something to be aware of...maybe GNG can finally resolve this issue and hence sentiment is improving? results update will be very interesting.

Is this the only stock trading below its working capital per share?! from results in July: Working capital = current assets - current liabilities = 28439000 - 8070000 = 20369000M Working capital per share: working capital / shares in issue = 20369000 / 37840000 = 53p! meaning: if you could get GNG shares for the same price as its working capital per share, you would be getting all the companies fixed assets for free!!! - its trading well below the 53p mark! even taking into account lower trade receivables it still is below........very interesting!!!

TSTL working capital is: current assets - current liabilities = 5049 - 1818 = £3.2M which is very good for a £13M Mcap company further - working capital per pound of sales: 3.2/ total revenue = 3.2M/10.5M = 30.6% - good. from the investbeginners site: To find the approximate amount of working capital a company should have, you should look at "working capital per dollar of sales." debt to equity ratio for TSTL total liabilities / shareholder equity = 1871 / 10877 = 17% therefore 17% of TSTL equity is made of debt - anything below 40% is considered okay so TSTL is within limits.
