Would Sidara be willing to pay 1 quid a share?Any take-over would need to be approved by lenders and Sidara would need to keep them sweet.They would be looking to recoup that money by selling divisions they dont want.

I do believe that Sidara are only interested in certain divisions.At this point shareholders will only benefit if Sidara makes a firm offer which is accepted.Any delay and refinancing can wipe out existing shareholders.Major shareholders may choose to oppose that offer as they are sitting on heavy losses.Either way it should not take too long.

That was a produdent move on Apollo's side.Some divisions are highly profitable but some are loss-making and then you have a debt.Value lies in goodwill and intangible assets and that is if you believe in that.Market reckons that Sidara is offering around 40, however refinancing can wipe out shareholders and post refinancing Sidara will expected to pay more which it might not chose to do.

Three likely scenarios books are open to Sidara and they make an offer.Second scenario is they dont like what they see and walk away.Third scenario is they request to extend the deadline and wait for review before making any decision.Company is short of £400 millions and whoever was going to inject that was likely to take away big chunk of equity.I do think that Sidara is most likely to go for option three.

£450 million Ebita means nothing if company is expected to make around £250 millions loss this year.Company will need to find £400 millions from somewhere!

@jxp101 I think Covid had a part to play in it as well,company was operating on paper thin margins, slight delay can turn a profitable contract into loss-making.But Amec has proven to be a disaster for this company.
