"My post wasn't supposed to be insulting to you. It was aimed more generally at everyone asking Vinson to help them make investment decisions and the things I have seen make me think that's a very dangerous idea.".......yes ..i think a lot here were caught up in the excitement of the moment nd the actions of certain members and from what ive seen the "vinson list" members are mostly conspicuous by their absence in the last few days ......makes you wonder
yuri there will be a lot of folk here who will blame everybody but themselves for the situation they find themselves in ....they got caught up in the 10 bagger herd mentality they would not listen to reasoned arguements...they even called myself and others silly sellers(among other things) i find it hard to find sympathy for some
deary me!!!! lol
yuri ...exactly the reason why i listened to noone but myself ......i took profits at 100+% and also 200+% leaving myself half my original stake at circa 7p ave......hopefully this will sort itself out and my holding will gain me further profits ... if not i have a bit of leeway to get out if need be
id like to thank isa also ...not so much for his providing details of the court case but as one of the few who in the preceding weeks gave a balanced view of what was going on .....there was no "to the moon" crap neither was there any "ganging up" on the few who disagreed with the majority .....he was one of the few whos views i took any notice of ..top man!!!!
TBF there was a lot of folk here that in the last week considered this a done deal...200 by xmas/boom/rocket blah blah blah .....all of whom savagely put down anyone who dared to consider selling up/top slicing/protecting profits as an alternative ....some folk need to take a long hard look at themselves
im not sure which is worse ..the trolls or those that feed them ....i suspect the latter
tho i ought to add that they become available after 3 years with tax and NI ....and after 5 years tax and NI free
you are quite correct value ...nothing further to add
well said robbo ....some folk just dont accept that everyones situation is different
some deals HAVE been done whilst the court cases have been hanging over ocados head ...the JV with marks for one ...kinda poo poos your statement there purse
surely owls has been here long enough to know that stocks can go up as well as down and its only a loss or gain if you sell lolol
we know almost everything about this share and this company.....we know whats happened in the last year...we know whats happened more recently (soa..court case..case...votes etc etc etc) the only thing we dont actually know is what the outcome of the next court case will be ....the majority think its done n dusted and amgo will prosper ....most will hold with confidence ...some will hold in trepidation ....others will sell and await the outcome ....others will top slice to protect their investment.....whichever camp you are in does not mean you are right or wrong so i say good luck to all whatever your position
exactly jonno....and everyones situation is different..my ave is circa 7p....my situation allows me to be more flexible than those with an average of say 20p
ahhh jester ...so discussion is only ok if it agrees with your point of view??? all i was doing is reply to other posts ...im so sorry if that is dissagreeable to you ...my apologies
exactly londoninvestor .....im currently @ +215% i also am considering taking some profits as a bit of protection in the unlikely event things go wrong....court cases can be highly unpredictable ......and if some consider this deramping so be it .....i consider it to be prudent
nothing wrong with a bit of top slicing IMO.....everyone situation is different so why critisize someone for doing someing that is not in your own agenda??? so the folk who sold some at its peak a few days ago then bought back in at c19 were stupid???....i say good luck to all whatever their strategy
this could be my time to take some profits and buy back in lower
hi grim ....what you are saying is correct but the amounts would be very small in the grand scheme of things ...there is a maximum % of wages that staff are allowed to invest and of course not all staff will participate in the SAYE scheme....of course some staff will enrol in both SAYE and BAYE schemes which can be very rewarding especially if(depending on status) participants are able to take a long term view and not sell as soon as available
rest assured ocado will actively be seeking new sites for cfc's and spokes at home and internationally deals will be done and expansion will be ongoing.....they will be doing all this as fast as they possible can ...rome was not built in a day!!
